Wow that was not offside. - Pixote Andolini
i've only been watching sporadically (through the tears) since the boys were eliminated but i really think the linesmen are worse than i've ever seen |

yet another play with a rebound/loose puck and a penguin nowhere near it. - hammarby31
right?
its hard to female dog about puck luck because of the one goal they actually were able to manage. but christ.
not only that, and they dont do themselves a ton of favors by getting where they need to be |

hey netflix, real hockey locker rooms don't have benches in the center of them. - hammarby31
At least something in mainstream popular entertainment actually featured ice hockey.
I actually like that spot. Gave me a chuckle. |

Yeah I guess it's better to blow a play dead even if it's the wrong call. Worse for them to not blow the play dead when it might be offside especially if a goal is scored because the scrutiny afterwards is pretty big. |

it's like watching the flyers play the rangers. they're feeding into the same things with the blocked shots and east-west crap, and are always on the wrong side of a loose puck around the net. meanwhile the rangers have a diagonal stretch pass going the other way in a blink. when the pens were beating them earlier in the series, none of the is was happening. |

Every player on the Flyers had worse numbers while playing with VL. He cannot play wing and he's not good enough to play in the top 3 centers on the Flyers. - PhillySportsGuy
And those numbers aren't just due to Lecavalier. And that's with Lecavalier coming off a serious injury and playing out of position. It's pretty evident he can't play the left side. So that has to be taken into consideration.
But to say a player who has scored over 400 goals in his career, and just scored 20 goals for the 13th time out of 15 seasons, isn't good enough to play in the top 3 centers, just isn't reality. He may not fit with the Wingers they have in the mix. And they may want to keep the younger Schenn at Center. But to say he's not good enough to play in the top 3 is false in my opinion.

i don't get why teams continue to play into their hands. they're very good at what they do. defend, block shots and transition. i've seen this act before by another team that comes to mind, but the rangers have more plugs. |

the pens best game in the series was when they adapted and beat them at their own game. you have the better skill. if you apply the same system, eventually you will get the most of limited opportunities. |

I don't think it's that the NHL wants/needs the Rangers in it. it's just such a gross brand of hockey. |

oh right. when they chanted henry, henry, like they just did now when he finally faced another shot, that was also unscreened from distance. it just looked better because he actually had to move his leg. |
