they do need to get rid of it. im not saying the trapping mentality. if you want to clog up the neutral zone, its your own prerogative. if you want to win a 2 1 game, then go for it. it sucks, but if its within the rules its within the rules. however, that doesnt mean you should be entitled to hook and hold your way to ensure that its a possibility.

that being said, i think this was by far the rangers cleanest game of the last few as far as that goes. the pens just played right into that neutral zone trap. their own fault. same as the powerplay.

this is exactly what will happen. you can script it like clockwork.

rags do not have the pressure on them. they have the heart and hustle. pens will come out with a delightful combination of soft and sloppy within the first 7 or so minutes. the rangers will score a goal. then, the trap will be on.

the pens will respond with an east west display that generates a whole lot of nothing. they will turn it on late, and yield a bunch of blocked shots.
