Let Jokinen, Stemoniak, Goc all walk, along with almost every other UFA. This comes from another thread. All you are about is trading or letting everyone walk without talking about solutions. Adding Despres to Neal subtracts from the return. It doesn't add to it. The only deal that makes sense and impact for Kesler and something that Vancouver might bite on is a straight Letang for Kesler swap. They need a PMD, we need grit, plus Kesler doesn't want to be there.
Trade Neal for prospects. How nice. And then you not only are looking for a winger for Sid again, but another one for Malkin and quite possibly two if Jokinen walks. Have you looked at the free agent list there? I don't think you have. Why? Because there are no long term answers out there. Everyone is a third line guy, or on their last legs in the league. Trading him for prospects isn't smart and doesn't help Pittsburgh in 2014-2015 for starters. - Oneonta Penguin
I'm done with you on this topic dude. Do you even read my posts?
Btw...I have indeed perused the FA list and I know exactly what's out there.
Keep Neal. Good luck to you. You're going to need it.
Later... |

I don't think NYR is fragile right now. They're rolling, and you know MSL is going to keep them up. Pens, on the other hand...yeah, 1 GA might do them in. - jmatchett383
It's going to be tough to do it IMO.... not to be crass or unsympathetic... but game 5 was the day after his mom passed.... ultra motivation..... game 6 was mother's day.... ultra motivation..... game 7 is just that... game 7.... If the Pens can get on them early, it might just be that the Rangers bubble bursts because you can only play on emotion for so long before you come crashing down to earth.
Any athlete who's played competitive sports at a high school level and beyond has experienced playing on emotion and it doesn't last forever.
The crowd needs to be loud and engaged and if the Pens come out like they did in game 4 I think it should be a victory. |

I don't disagree. Just not sure who they would use to fill his spot on the PK. With the effort level of everyone in the top 6 for the past 2 games and most of the 1st round (and game 1 of this round. And to be entirely honest, probably the last 4 freaking years of playoff hockey outside of games 2-4 of this series), I wouldn't want any of them anywhere near the PK. They're allergic to their own zone again. - ScienceJesus
It is game 7. If Malkin and Crosby are not out there for PK's at various points, then something is wrong. Malkin has been in 2009 form for a while now, and the fact that he hasnt been let loose to attack the points on the PK is staggering. Let Goc, Sutter, and Gibby handle the lions share and put your stars out there for the rest. No need to protect minutes when the season might end. If 71 plays 33 minutes, then so be it. |

This Crosby slump is mindboggling....
I mean, he has a 2.8% shooting percentage in the playoffs. Chuck Kobasew's was twice that in the regular season - rival22
Toews was 4.8% last year. |

I'm not saying he's gonna be Mark Messier or anything, but the guy's a winner, and that team is rolling. He's a heck of a leader on a team that lost its captain. Even if they get down 1-2 goals, he's the kind of guy who can keep things even and stop any panicking. |

Enter and leave at night, preferably from a garage. If you go the paper bag route you must accompany it with an Islander jersey so as not to create suspicion. |

That's crazy talk. It's a proven fact that there are, in fact, 26 Islanders jerseys currently owner in the world, and 20 of them are team property. I mean, compared to the 3 Devils jerseys owned worldwide (the team prefers to disassociate itself with itself), it's a high number. But that's sure to draw attention to oneself.
A Cubs jersey, or possibly a TML jersey, would be more fitting. |

Yes Dipietro or Yashin will work best in this scenario.

And I'm not denying that.... but professional or amateur.... for all he's been through if Hank gives up a softie or the Rags just can't get anything going ala game 4, I think there comes a time where you let down regardless of what kind of player you are..... you hit a wall and thoughts of what you've went through start to creep in.... it's the same rationale everyone says about Fleury and melting down.... sometimes you can't keep your subconscious at bay. |

My advice is to do a pocket version/cliffnotes pamphlet in addition to the book. That way the laziest of us who might only make it through the first sentence of the book will still have access to the info in a "carrying around" version for cramming at the bar and/or her house afterwards.
"Now how the hell am I supposed to get out of her house?"

Technically 50/50 lol
But in all seriousness I mean even a goal like he gave up last night..... I felt the Pens carried play from that point in the first into the second period and if it wasn't for some great breakaway saves who knows how the game unfolds.
If Crosby's first shot tomorrow goes off McDonough's skate and through the five hole, the narrative changes immediately. |

Page 7? Oh you impressionable young lad, there are hundreds of lessons before you get to that.
Suffice to say you should plan on getting your forklift license and learn how to roll really big snowballs with extreme precision.
This will all be covered after I complete chapter 8- "Whale watching: From the bar to the boat"
This weekend is going to suck. |

Somehow you will manage to take a well intentioned "how to" guide and turn it into a long version of drunken hookup failures from Deadspin. BTW---if you aren't familiar with that segment they run--it is glorious. I discovered it last week when they ran the one on prom failures and I almost spit coffee when the one kid's quest to bang his date was foiled by dead kittens. He gave a eulogy and everything. glorious. |

Therein lies the difference between the Pens and the upper echelon teams. When was the last time the Pens stopped the bleeding after one goal? When they come out playing poorly, it is almost a given that they spot the other team a multi goal lead. Most people who watch this team should have had a pretty good feeling that the game was far more likely to go 2-0 than 1-1. Doesnt matter if it is on Fleury, defense, turnovers, penalties, w/e---when they come out disinterested and give up 1, the other goal is going to come soon after. |

I just saved you an afternoon of having to think about hockey.
A small piece of the dead kittens one
"Well, it turns out she did really want to show me these kittens. So fine, let's get this over with, and then it's on to the main event. The problem is, and I am not a cat expert, but apparently mother cats move their kittens around a lot after they're born, so we had to find them. The cat had moved them from the laundry room to the back porch. The porch had random teenage girl crap stacked all over it. This included a wadded up volleyball net, next to which the cat had the deposited her kittens and within which they had all become entangled, strangled, and died. Yep. Five dead kittens." |
