Would that be former Penguin prospect Stan Drulia, or do I have the wrong league? He had a very long and successful minor league career. - Oneonta Penguin
No, Patrice Lefebvre. 595 points in 276 games

Those are CHL records, not QMJHL. He's on that page, at the bottom. He's the all-time OHL leader. |

Its taking too looong!
I threw an edit on the comment your referencing and no, I dont always take the high road. But in hockey I've never had my teammates clean up for me. The worst kinds of teammates I ever had would stir the pot to a boil and skate away or hop the boards. It's very annoying. - Topshelf Mountain
You ever play for a team where your best player gets abused and no one steps up ever? He shouldn't have to do that stuff but no ones there to help |

Kunitz was, sorta. I like the old regulator guys. The ones where a player's taking liberties with your star, so they get the other team's star in the corner and give him a stick in the teeth and say, "Tell your boy to calm down, or it's gonna be worse next time." But that's just me. |

Before injuries I was the abused but I backed it up. After injuries I did the dirty work when the talent needed it. To answer your question, yes. I think I covered that in my earlier post about stirring the pot and bailing.
I like Crosby. This will be one of those things I'll need to look past, much like when Mario would do some of his flops.
I do think the greatest quality that comes from playing hockey is accountability. I think it's why you hardly ever meet a hockey player who's a genuinely bad person. It's probably the reason his antics last night bothered me. |

So do you have other sites to go for Flyers talk? Or do you just want to be around hockey talk? |

He was over-the-top last night. To me, though, you have to let the other team's best player know it's not acceptable. It's when Bortuzzo and Pouliot go into a corner, and Pouliot leaves feeling like he'll never have kids again because Bortuzzo drives his knee into his groin. And as Bortuzzo skates away, he says, "You can thank Moore for that. St. Louis is next."
Now, you can't do that in a Game 7, or even a Game 6. It should have been done 2 games ago to keep things more honest. |

I've found that, for better or worse, this is the best site for Flyers/hockey talk, at least on the blogs I visit. I mean, every site will have the good and the bad, but this is generally good.
Most Flyers fans are the "HIT HIM!" "SHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT" "HIT SOMEONE" "CROSBY SUCKS!" guys, and I loathe those bastards. They're also the ones to completely overreact. It will go from, "We need to trade Hartnell, he's the worst player ever," to "Man, Hartnell's on right now, he's playing great," and back in a matter of a day. It's really insane to try to deal with. |

Full props to the Rags, they could have laid down in game 5 but i think the story is the team rallying around MSL. As a guy whos mother died at an early age, i feel for Marty and everything thats happened says the Pens don't have what it takes to get it down. When it comes down to it, its Flower vs the Swede, geee who would you pick in a deciding game? I can sit here and criticize specific Pens players, but i am not putting this collapse of Flower. After last season, i never wanted to see him in a Pens uni again, but Sid has just been terrible and an embarrassment to the franchise. If i was HCDB i would have healthy scratched him a few games ago, but i think Dan knows his fate and will be fired promptly after they are eliminated. Not to say he isnt an outstanding coach, i really think he is, but this is how the biz works. So i sit here criticizing players on the team i root for, id like to make a parting shot though, D Moore is a classless scrub, and if the Pens go down in 7, i really wouldnt mind Neal taking his head off in Neals last game as a Pen. - BillKessel
Just to make sure I didn't read that wrong, you would have healthy scratched Crosby? |

That is why I left this site six years ago. It was wicked bad and if you had an opinion it was wrong. No give and take. No rationale. It's a lot better these days...easier to ignore. Also think having a lot of regulars from the early years of this site helps a bit. You quasi get to know someone, being understanding is a lot easier. |

The thing that's so maddening about this team is that they have it within them to be absolutely dominant. We've seen it for stretches in each series. Its like they are schizophrenic. - Emperor Filonius
Without a doubt to me that is what is frustrating about the team. They can look like they can toy with any team at will and then they look like they put on skates for the first time in their lives. They have been so incredibly inconsistent from shift to shift, period to period, game to game. Still they are just one win from their second straight ECF. If they could just maintain a consistent balance then they could be so good as we have seen at times. I have no idea which team will show up tomorrow night. They need to get on the board first so doubt doesn't creep in. The Rangers weren't just going to lay down and go away for them. Tomorrow's game could really have a lasting impact on the future of this franchise and the direction it is going in. It's going to be fascinating to watch.
The powerless play needs to wake up. No excuse with the players they have to be that anemic. I give credit to NY's PK but still to get a single PP goal is just awful. |

Yeah. I mean, I'm no fan of Crosby. I really am not. But any coach who would bench him in a playoff game? That would be like Glen Sather benching Gretzky after he went goalless in four consecutive games to start the 1988 playoffs.
Gretzky went on to win the Conn Smythe Trophy. |

When they don't play a "playoff" style of hockey in the regular season, don't be surprised when they can't consistently play that style when it matters.
Fans reactions on all the talk shows and on this board was quite entertaining after games 2.3 and 4. Everybody was amazed at the tight checking, back checking, safe/smart decisions. And there in lies the problem... Being amazed that they learned how playoff hockey is played after being a fixture in the playoffs for 8 or 9 years.
By the way... Did anybody notice Doc Emeric mocking the Pens and all the pretty/fancy passes last night.....and how it provided zero results? When a professional announcer like him is mocking your teams "style" of play, it's a very revealing moment. |

I highly doubt you see significant changes after this season if we lose. Bylsma should be safe after this season and all he did and showing he could adjust in the playoffs. MAF will be safe unless Shero does something crazy, no UFA goalies are better than MAF. The pens dont buy out players so Scuds will be brought back. Nisk and Orpik might be let go and replaced by mid tier trade or/and kids from WBS. and Neal might go. Neal's shananigans arn't really tolerable when he is scoring... |
