As a Flyers fan, I'm terrified of them hiring a competent coach and re-doing the roster. - Jsaquella
Lol yeah it would, but they need someone to reel Crosby and Malkin in once they start playing undisciplined. |

I sure hope Bylsma survives, but I doubt it. I would love to see Torts with the Pens. I know it won't happen, but I guy can dream. Seeing Torts reactions after Malkin gives the half hearted effort to block a shot from the point would be priceless. |

They can start by trading Crosby. I goal in his last 18 playoff games. Moore and Co. did a fantastic job on him, just like the Flyers did a couple ago.
Toews is the best captain in the league right now. |

at some point, i dont blame bylsma a ton for it. but he needs to go, if only for a change.
i still think shero is decent. but i wouldnt be upset if hes gone too, again just for changes sake. i think he survives though. |

Crosby needs to be better, for sure. But even when he's scored they haven't won. They have won 4 playoff rounds since 2009. They beat Ottawa, the Isles and Jackets in that time. Hardly a murderer's row |

Elliott Friedman from CBC pointed out earlier that St. Louis assisted on the Richards goal that sent the Lightning past the Flyers to the Cup final 100 years ago. |

Its funny because I'd blame Shero. You over pay Malkin and never give Crosby anything to work with. Kunitz is an ok player to play with Crosby but his other winger has been Stemniak, minor leaguers and Dupuis. That is not good enough. You could blame Bylsma for the the fact his players are just standing around in the defensive end though. |

Are you a little concerned about Letang's play? Awful lot of cap space, he needs to be a decent two-way d-man for that money. Certainly the stroke was a factor (glad to see he recovered fully), but he was pretty awful this series.

Dupuis and Kunitz were fine wingers for Crosby. Dupuis was injured. That played a major role in Pitt having to play poopty linemates with Crosby all season.
I dont believe Malkin was overpaid. He's a top 5 player in the NHL. Teams would kill to have him. |

you dont let malkin walk away. i know it sounds incredible, but i guarantee you he left money on the table to stay in pittsburgh.
that deal will also look better in a few years time. |

Fluery had his struggles over that period too. The roster looks decent on paper. Good mix of skill and grit. I like to think that their ass clown antics just come back to bite them. What goes around comes around. |

Trade Malkin for the huge haul and build a solid 4 line team around crosby. Not even being sarcastic. |

definitely dude. to not be would be blind. the frustrating thing, is he CAN do it. he has all the tools. i think only maybe subban and doughty may have more natural ability than him at the position. and hes had 2 games in this very series in which he flat out dominated even without really being on the scoresheet.
but mentally, he just is not, and likely never will be, a complete player. again, if you want to use strictly market terms, its not really an overpayment, because other teams wouldve given him the same exact deal. but for this team, with its cap structure, he needs to be better or its a killer |
