Just heard Pierre Mcguire on WFAN radio in NYC and he said the Penguins ownership had an owners only meeting after the game last night. No coaches or front office guys were invited. He said the collateral damage from the Pens blowing the 3-1 series lead will be immense.
Pierre has worked a game 25 of the last 26 nights. That's nuts. - PLindbergh31
Clean the house boys. Clean. the. house.
The Pens will not be a serious contender again until they move Malkin for a big haul and start to build an actual team as oppose to this roster of Crosby, Malkin, Neal surronded by AHL scrubs. |

It's def a top heavy roster, after Crosby, Malkin, Neal, and Kunitz there are some decent forwards. I think Jokinen, and Stempniak are very good players. That gives the Pens two lines there. Their 3rd and 4th lines are weak for sure.
The Flyers 4th line was a huge weakness this year. Other than Adam Hall being a good faceoff guy and being able to kill penalties, the rest of the 4th line is a black hole. |

the Rangers are showing the advantages of having a good 4th line. makes a big difference over the course of a series and through the playoffs. |

I think Raffl-Laughton-Rinaldo could be a solid 4th line |

Hopefully Akeson and Laughton can be significant contributors next season. Flyers have to have some cost controlled players be factors for them. Perhaps one of the Dmen in the pipeline can contribute next year as well. |

Laughton and Raffl yes.... Rinaldo imo isn't an NHL player. He's an energy guy that can skate, but you saw him rendered useless in the playoffs because he was on pins and needles afraid he would get called for penalties. |

Rinaldo could be a 13th forward, who goes to Suite Cote for the playoffs. |

I Shero gets canned and doesn't latch on with another team you think the Flyers bring him in to be Assistant GM to Hextall. That could be a nice think tank. |

Ideally you would like guys on the 4th line to be somewhat versatile.
Remember the Rinaldo on the PK experiment? That didn't work out so well. |

Will never happen. Every team will fall all over themselves to make him their GM... He won't be an assistant. |

Ownership believed Bylsma lost the dressing room this season, specifically the support of franchise centers Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin, the sources said.
Players were unhappy with Bylsma's numerous meetings and long practices and the decreasing sense of fun within the Penguins' daily environment, the sources said.
Crosby and Malkin also grew disenchanted with perceived harsh criticism they received from Bylsma during meetings, the sources said.
Also, the sources said, ownership was concerned about the Crosby's body language during the playoffs.
