It's tough. Everyone knows how tough it is to win the Cup, but there's certainly validity in saying that the Pens should have more than 1 Cup in the Crosby era. When you see that the bottom 6 forwards aren't getting the job done, you either turnover the entire team or fire the guy who constructed it. Like you said, he will land on his feet very quickly.

oh yeah. the cup is the hardest trophy to win in sports. you cant legitimately expect to win it any given season.

it seems kind of obvious, but to me. its not losing. its HOW the losing occurs.

you play boston and they beat you in 7 hard fought games. no shame in that. you tip your cap and call it a season. you hold a 3 to 1 series lead and only manage to score 3 goals the rest of the way in an epic choke job, thats entirely different.

If Kimmo comes back I still hope they find a younger guy to play top minutes with B Coburn.

Kimmo can play with Luke Schenn against favorable matchups next year for 14-15 minutes a night at even strength, and play a few minutes on the PP too. He should sign for dollars appropriate to that role or they should just say thank you, offer him an assistant coaching spot or a scout position for future Finnish warriors.
