i don't get why shero was fired and not bylsma
not shero's fault crosby is ahorse's ass - 2Real
Because Shero allotted 37% if his cap to 3 players and wasn't able to put together a competent bottom-6 on a team expected to, at the least, reach the ECF. But yes, HCDB should be gone too. |

If he signed a multi-year deal w/ Omsk, there would almost be no point in doing that, since he goes UFA at 27 no matter what. - Tomahawk
They could still extend the offer. If he doesn't accept, it doesn't count against the 50 limit and, if he did return, he'd have to be our property. No harm in it. |

i just read an ongoing live interview with mario and burkle and they're blaming themselves for agreeing with RS to keep DB, even though they wanted a new coach. sounds like they're blaming the coach for failing with an unbalanced team - when really that's RS's fault. yet, the coach is still there. the whole thing is confusing. |

I think it was an ok idea. It just gives the new GM more flexibility to do what he feels is best. |

I know, it's just not like they're making us look stupid by signing Gus. |

Or maybe he'll never get out of Russia and we'll end up looking smrt. |

Hopefully it's just a 1-year deal, and they qualify him, and he's back in the mix in 2015-16 -- like what happened when Mark Giordano left for the KHL at around the same age. |

I somehow doubt that. There's just something about Gus's game that I saw in the small playing time he got, and then his usage in the world championships, that makes me think he'll be back in the NHL. |

Cherry only is my first choice, but the assorted flavors is not a bad alternative.
And now, my 8 YO son likes them too. I can't ever keep them in the house anymore. I have to hide them at work. - johndewar
They make other flavors than cherry? I never knew that. I always bought these candies at the penny candy store when I was a kid and mixed them with the sour watermelon slices. Best freaking combo in the whole world. |

So, is that after they CBO him and he sits out a year? - jmatchett383
I guess that would maximize the potential profit. |

I also went to penny candy stores as a kid (*pauses typing to tell young'uns to GTFO of my lawn*) and between penny candy stores and the concession stands at football and baseball leagues I played in, I grew up eating swedish fish candy.
They sell the multiple flavored ones at some convenience stores and drug stores. I get my supply from the Target near work. |

I'm not even saying the kid was going to be Bobby Effing Orr.
I just wanted to see him play consistently to see what they had. How is he going to develop if he doesn't play? |

Well, they stopped being penny candies when I was about 6 or 7 years $old. And they still sell candy by the pound which is pretty cool. You get like 30 to 40 fish for $1. I used to work next door to the dude and he would give me the sour stuff at the bottom of the sour patch kids candy and Id dip my swedish fish in it. So good. |
