Off to the gym. I'm under 200 pounds for the first time since shortly after I graduated college and I plan on staying that way!!!

Have a good day all!

Have no idea on that one. Could be back at the right price or could retire. Also, he could decide that the Flyers have no shot at the cup next year and look to sign a 1 year deal with a contender.

That's in the past we now have 4 (count em 4!) solid D prospects in our system right now.
Morin, Haag, Alt, Ghost

- FlyersGrace

Alt really counts? Whenever I hear Hexy or holmer talk about our young d prospects he never gets mentioned.

I liked Gus but did not think he was going to be back. With Kimmo most likely resigning and A-Mac holding down that last D spot it was looking like he was going to be in the same position he was last year. And with Hagg, Ghost, and Alt looking to get a shot with the big team at some point next year, Gus seemed stuck.

This might be best all around as I think Gus needs more ice time to season. Best of luck to him. Hope Philly keeps his rights and we see him back in the NHL.

The RFA I'm interested in right now is B Schenn. Will Hexy re-sign him? Re-sign then trade? Or trade before re-signing?

Have to admit I'm a bit sad over Gus leaving.
I probably overrated him as a player a bit.
Just feel that with their mix on D he would have been ok on the third pair, a D man with puck skills at ~1M, there should have been a spot next year for him year.

I'm sure moving on is the smart thing for Gus himself.
He did not look bad at times.
But he struggled when paired up with LSchenn clearing the puck out of corners and behind the net. He couldn't bump Drej Mezsaros this year so his future here was nearly zero.

Good luck Gusty.

Good job, I just got back to 200 myself (College Weight) dropping close to 50 pounds. Gave up sugar and started ordering the small portion the menu. I feel great and also have no desire to go back.

Cheers.

Have you heard anything more that makes you think Kimmo is likely to be back?

They have 10 UFA's coming off the books I'm not sure how many slots they really needed. I'm sure it helps, but I don't think it's a huge factor.

Downie (see ya)
Hall (thanks for playing)
Vandevelde (thanks for the game, other Thoresen)
Timonen (welcome back, at $3M)
Gill (enjoy the sunset)
Emery (at $1.5M, sure)
Gervais (try Colorado)
Newberry (ha!)
Holmstrom (AHL deal, maybe)
Danis (b-bye)

I don't see many (if any) of these guys coming back. Timonen and Hall are the most likely.

Other notable RFA's? McGinn, Akeson, Heeter, and Bourdon (since we were talking about him earlier).

Pens should consider to bring in Trotz
Trade Malkin for Weber.. Straight up!

Would hate to see that happen....probably won't happen but Nashville needs offense and Pens need D

When he said that his family will stay in America for a few more years.

http://www.broadstreethoc...-return-flyers-salary-cap

"No matter what we're going to do, we're going to stay here for a couple more years and really figure out what we're going to do as a family," he said. "My kids are older. My son is 15, and I'm sure he wants to stay here. He's been here all of his life, so I don't see him going back to Finland or somewhere else. So we'll see, but we're going to stick around here for a couple more years at least."

Kimmo seems like he recognizes that this team needs to make moves and not just stay at the status quo to win the Stanley Cup. He's not in it for the money, and he's going to need to take a serious pay cut to remain with the Flyers and ultimately win that Stanley Cup. So, will he?

To be honest I don't see Hextall giving him more than 3 or 4 mil to stay... And even then only if he can't figure out a trade he wants for more D.
Holmgren would (probably) have paid him more.
I don't expect to hear anything abou Timonen re-signing until well after the draft and FA.
I could be wrong of course!
