What the what!?!? Blysma still coach
http://www.nhl.com/ice/ne...719554&navid=nhl:topheads
Assistant GM Jason Botteril will serve as interim GM. New GM will decide on Blysma's future... - Streit2ThePoint
It sounds to me like Shero fell on the sword. What's interesting is I seriously doubt that the coach stays for very long. New GM is going to most likely boot him. I find it hysterical with all the speculation of how much input Crosby had. He should have none. Whether or not he does is a debate and that cracks me up. |

Exactly -- you hate to be harsh on a player who has done nothing but play hard for you, but if he wants to come back, damn, we need the guy to come in at $2.5

That's just weird -- I understand the words, but don't understand the why, unless they just don't want Bylsma to go to Washington

Bob McKenzie miss-tweeted, huh
Thought Byslma was a goner.
You know, if you look at what the coach accomplished , with all their injuries every single year, I think he did a remarkable job.
It is all about expectations.
You expect to get to the Stanley Cup finals every year, and it is just not that easy.

i wonder if boyle going to free agency will have any effect on what timonen will sign for |

If Kimmo comes back I still hope they find a younger guy to play top minutes with B Coburn.
Kimmo can play with Luke Schenn against favorable matchups next year for 14-15 minutes a night at even strength, and play a few minutes on the PP too. He should sign for dollars appropriate to that role or they should just say thank you, offer him an assistant coaching spot or a scout position for future Finnish warriors. |

If they waited till the season had started and Pronger is on LTIR to sign him, they could give him as much as $4m. |

its just odd.
im assuming theyll allow the new permanent GM to can him? i dont know.
the whole thing is just weird. and not that DB will be unemployed long, but thats jerked off if theyre doing it like this solely to delay him being rehired or going somewhere with shero.
if youre that afraid of the pair of them reuniting and achieving world domination, then why are you firing them? |

Anyone see the Bob McKenzie tweet about sources in Pittsburgh thinking that Owner Ron Burkle would like Pat Brisson to be the next GM.
Wanna guess what Pat Brisson does today? I'll give you a hint. He's an agent.
Guess who his star client is? |

If he became the GM would Sidney have to get a new agent? How would that work? Thats an odd scenario. |

I would imagine that Brisson would have to give up his player representation business, in total, but I'm not a lawyer and just spit-balling.
I would also imagine that Sid would feel carte blanche to walk into the GMs office and have the GM listen intently to every word coming out of his mouth. |

I'm sure DB is a great coach, but how can they bring him back after all this? It's just messed up to leave him in limbo. He's pretty much a dead man walking.
Also not interested in shero as assistant gm unless Hexy wants him. Hextall should be allowed to choose his own staff. I would be happier if he poached some of those Kings personnel |

If you're Dan Bylsma, why would you want to come back? The entire organization seems to have thrown him under the bus.
Maybe not Shero, who is gone, but who knows? He might have told ownership he wants to keep everything in place (for all we know) and ownership might have said "thanks but no thanks". |
