I would imagine that Brisson would have to give up his player representation business, in total, but I'm not a lawyer and just spit-balling.
I would also imagine that Sid would feel carte blanche to walk into the GMs office and have the GM listen intently to every word coming out of his mouth. - johndewar
As my agent and GM I want 30 million a year! Who would be the one to dispute the deal? lol. Who cares if he gets fired? He just banked 10% of a $240mil deal. |

I'm sure DB is a great coach, but how can they bring him back after all this? It's just messed up to leave him in limbo. He's pretty much a dead man walking.
Also not interested in shero as assistant gm unless Hexy wants him. Hextall should be allowed to choose his own staff. I would be happier if he poached some of those Kings personnel - PhillySportsGuy
I guess if he quits than he loses the money owed to him from the rest of his contract? |

If you're Dan Bylsma, why would you want to come back? The entire organization seems to have thrown him under the bus.
Maybe not Shero, who is gone, but who knows? He might have told ownership he wants to keep everything in place (for all we know) and ownership might have said "thanks but no thanks". - johndewar
I think they believe DB is a great coach and they shouldn't get rid of him until the new gm decides to. They view him as some great asset.
There are different levels of coaches, but I wouldn't say bylsma is someone who can't be replaced. I don't see him being a lot better than a guy like Trotz |

They probably don't want to pay him to coach someone else next year. Gonna drag it out so he either gets paid and coaches no one or quits and doesn't get paid. Either way its screwed up.. |

After years of mishandling by the flyers. Hopefully he takes us to the promised land before he disappears like a gust of wind |

Exactly how I felt -- it was the same with Akeson. You just want players to get a chance. I'm not putting anybody into the Hall of Fame, but I don't think 30 games where a guy doesn't have to head straight to the healthy scratch house is too much to ask.
That's not a shot at Gill or Meszaros or anybody else. It's just that at some point, what's the harm in giving a guy -- a 25-year-old mobile defenseman -- who has done everything he could at the minor-league level a legitimate chance?
Scouts aren't always right. They're not. In any sport. If they were always right, Jason Bonsignore would be heading to the Hall of Fame. - AllInForFlyers
they're wrong just as often as right. no data - that's my eyeball test. i think he could have easily found a spot on that 3rd pair. |

i feel like if this were the case, he might have been able to draw more than 2 penalties while getting humped up and down the ice for 13 games. just a thought |

It's a bit redundant. In the KHL, their blogs only have trolls with one or two knowledgeable fans recklessly throwing facts and objective opinions around like it doesn't matter |

Still can't believe CSP didn't come out to challenge that - PhillySportsGuy
i can. he made the right decision. it looked like the puck would continue on it's original path with the same velocity, but then it just died in that spot and he knew he'd never get there. he had enough time to get set, and he did. gus just beat him with a good shot. |

It would eventually get exploited. I think if Timonen doesn't resign than having gus isn't bad, but this makes me think they plan on signing him this off season. You don't want 3 small guys on your d corps. It would get exploited way too easily. |

Then why has he fled to Russia? - funmaster18
maybe because he was offered a nice contract with a "promise" of prominent playing time. he'd likely have gone the same route with another nhl club, being a bubble guy. i don't blame him one bit. |

Man I really wanted to see gus get a shot at the 6th spot this year. Now this is going to force the flyers to bring up a young guy. I just really hope that it is not Ghost/Morin/Hagg. And I guess they have to stick with their really expensive dmen. Hopefully will can still clear some cap space on D and sign some career 6th/7th guy (Hopefully better than Gervais...). - FlyersSteve118
I wouldn't mind seeing Morin, but i think its going to be Mark Alt |

If Kimmo comes back I still hope they find a younger guy to play top minutes with B Coburn.
Kimmo can play with Luke Schenn against favorable matchups next year for 14-15 minutes a night at even strength, and play a few minutes on the PP too. He should sign for dollars appropriate to that role or they should just say thank you, offer him an assistant coaching spot or a scout position for future Finnish warriors. - Marc D
