I am going to use Deryk Engelland as an example, I know Lucic has more hockey skill but both are guys that play a rough style of hockey and fight. Engelland never yaps his gums at opposing players, even if his team is down he doesn't go out and try to start something with his lips. He very well might go out and lay out a couple of guys with clean hits, but everything he does as a tough guy is done while playing hockey. He also never backs down. If BLG was chasing Engelland around he wouldn't have to chase to long, he has fought John Scott and Derek Boogaard in the minors while weighing in at 215 lbs and making 525,000 dollars a year. He is a real tough guy, Lucic is.....well we all know what he is. - Grinder47
Love to have Deryk Engelland on the Sabres.Watched him go toe to toe with Lucic one night. He gave him all he could handle even tho I say Lucic won that bout.Lucic was wore out and had a dazed look on his face tho.Speaking of Scott been argueing hes worth the roster spot just because of douche bags like Lucic. |

Was the hand shake incident really a big deal? Relax everyone, every team would love to have him. In your prime, he would probably kick your ass Paul. |

No Biggie , Just more people know what he is now. You should get him on Edmonton .

Gutless is the last thing I would call Lucic. He is a wiener though. I would buy a Lucic sweater as soon as he is traded here. This isn't atom hockey, it's the Nhl. calm down. |

The moves he pulls are gutless , Take him in Edmonton ,Word is He is on the block. Buy his jersey . But he still is a piece of crap . If he stopped playing hockey tomorrow he would not be missed.

The point is being missed here. Stewart beating or losing to Lucic is irrelevant, Lucic's childish antics are the discussion. Would I want Lucic on my team? Damn right I would, and so would ever single poster here. Does Lucic pick his spots when it comes time to being tough, yes he does, and if Bruin fans are honest they will agree. Acting like a whiny brat doesn't take away the fact Lucic is a beast and a very good hockey player. It's a shame he doesn't realize that with all his sideshow Bob antics, he distracts himself from being even better player. |

It depends which Lucic. The Lucic of round 2 no. Which is disturbing since that's when you're supposed to play your best. |

Finally, the rest of the hockey world realizes what we Sabres fans figured out years ago -- that Milan Lucic is a gutless punk. The league blew the opportunity for penalizing him when he ran over Ryan Miller several years ago. Lucic was not suspended for that, except a 2 minute minor. I expect he will not be suspended for violating the most basic spirit of the handshake line -- in fact he's doubled down on his cowardly threats to several Canadiens. The league will reap the consequences of their uneven penalties for blatant offenses like Lucic's and Chara's for years to come. |

The only reason why people remember that Miller hit is because of complete non response from the Sabre team. The media made a bigger deal of that than the hit. That was gutless. If someone ran Rask like that, Lucic would have been the first one to take care of it. Like I said, he can be dirty, but gutless is the wrong term. |

Teams would be willing to take that chance. I cant see Boston moving him, a team would have to give allot to acquire him. |

Even if he did he would then ruin it by saying something like "I'm going to kill you" and then stick him in the guts. Thats the point being made here. |

i personally like the guy, he kicks ass on so many levels - Flyfreaky
Whoever made the comment about max and chara was spot on with comparison. Dude could have never walked again after that hit, granted it happened a few years ago, but I guarantee he didn't say a damn word to chara to the affect of what lucic said/did. Furthermore, maybe next time be a little bit more discrete in the handshake line with all of that, dont be so obvious jackass. What frustrates me the most, like a lot of people I bet, I used to be a huge luc fan, and over the past few years, he's kind of ruined it for me (yes im obviously a flyers fan). Part of me hopes he takes his head out of his ass and grows up, but I have to say it sure is entertaining to have everyone hating on the B's. |

he's a very entertaining player who keeps everyone on the edge of their seats, whether he's castrating the opposition, verbally abusing inferior habs players, or sticking his nose in a crease where in doesn't belong (i'm looking at you prust)
anyway you look at it, here's to you lucic, stay thirsty my friend |
