I think Doughty is LA's best player although anyone saying Kopitar would be right also.
I never said anything about systems holding either one back.
I'd be so happy with either player, slight edge to Doughty. - Marc D
Someone else mentioned systems but he gets kind of sensitive, so I added what I wanted to say to him, to you. Kopitar is nominated for the Selke this year, which I feel is an underrated aware, while Quick is a Stanley Cup winning goalie with a Conn Smyth and Vezina to add, so you can make an argument for who the Kings' bast player really is. While many believe the voting for certain awards are flawed and I agree but Subban does have a Norris trophy as the best defenseman last year (probably because of the points), Doughty has a Stanley Cup but he's on an all around better team. |

Raffl played great, he has good hands, he's good skater, wins puck battle along the boards and he is consistent (Hartnell is only good at puck battles and forecheck when he plays well which is inconsistently). The one area he needs to improve is finishing but he showed a lot of promise last season. Halpern is a 4th liner, makes the league minimum and can play well defensively. Laughton has to go down to the minors because he was playing OHL talent not NHL talent. The skill level is much higher than he is accustomed too and the mistake tolerance is a lot lower as well. - xShoot4WarAmpsx
Raffl played Ok. 22 points isn't that good playing as much as he did with Voracek and Giroux. He's above average defensively and below average offensively. What makes him valuable is his versatility, the guy can move up and down the line up and play with anyone. Is he a first line winger? Nope. Hopefully he has a better year next year as he is more comfortable but Giroux needs to play with a LW with more of an upside. Not saying that Laughton's that guy, but who knows maybe they have chemistry. Laughton's fast, smart and would add grit and one of these guys has to play LW. |

Why is it so black and white? Are you saying Laughton doesn't even deserve to get a shot?
If you are, that's a little asinine. - Giroux_Is_God
Well he gets training camp but unless he is something special, I think it is best to leave Laughton in the minors. |

So you believe Laughton's one opportunity should be training camp? Forget that he already has five NHL games under his belt. |

Raffl is a low 2nd/high 3rd line player. It certainly didn't help him or his production any bumping around from line to line as much as he did, so I wouldn't be surprised if his numbers go up a decent bit if he's allowed to settle into and really get a feel for his linemates. Let alone the fact he really wasn't expected to be up with the big club last year. He overachieved across the board. Hopefully he can keep that going. |

I don't know about you all, but that phrase make things all the more bitter, not remotely more sweet. I don't have anything against Richards, Carter, and Williams, but I want the Flyers to win it all, not a team with former players, especially since they've already won it all not that long ago.
Anything less than the Cup is just another person leaving the party with your wallet, your car, and your significant other. Again. |

I get this
Ok Kings then
I just root for the exFlyers when my team is not in the running anymore
Maybe it's crazy but that's what I do
Briere for the Cup would make me happy |

So what? it was only 5 games..... If he was worth playing the Flyers would have kept him then. He didn't do well in those 5 games, no one did except Vinny. Vinny had a good start and died after his back injury. This is the NHL, you have to earn a spot on the team you aren't just given it. |

Yup, I get where you're coming from as well. It's just that the Flyers West, a phrase that's been around for a few years now, seem to be doing better than the actual Flyers, and that just bugs me. I can't really work out a way to feel good about that because I know Richards, Carter, Williams, Gagne, etc. have a certain amount of affection for Philadelphia fans, but I also know there's nothing more they like to do than to beat the Flyers every chance they get.
I'd be happy for Danny as well. |

Laughton's time up with the Flyers was before Vinny was on the team; his time up was 2 years ago this coming season, so he was very young when he appeared in his first 5 NHL games. And he didn't look completely out of place. Further, there's no doubt that he would have been on the Phantoms the past 2 seasons if that was allowed, instead he went back to Oshawa.
Kid's got potential, no doubt. |

Exactly! He's two years removed from those five games and has matured a great deal since.
On one hand he was a big time player and Leader for the Oshawa Generals this season but this isn't to say he couldn't use some minor league seasoning. Laughton's game looked weak during the international stage of the World Juniors.
I feel it could go either way for Scott Laughton. |

Was Price awful? - Marc D
no. he only played the first 2 periods and gave up 4. the first two were jam plays at the net...just no puck luck for him there. kreider sniped him shortside on an oddman rush from in close and then he got beat on a great trick play from behind the net back to the vacant side. had no shot.

hey philly flyers fa g s... still stinging about that game 7 loss to my NY rangers? Or feeling salty about the rangers beatdown of montreal in game 1 of the ECF? and taking a 1-0 series lead? Feeling pissed off that your archrival city is 3 wins away from a SC berth? Maybe its the fact that you guys are discussing offseason moves while my hockey season is alive and well. - Peekkoma83

Just wondering how genitally impaired one has to be to troll the fanbase of a team his team eliminated two weeks ago, rather than enjoying his team's latest victory.
I mean, if you're hung like a mosquito, I totally get the need to post something this moronic. |
