Dan Boyle for $5,000,000 on a 1 year deal, but only if Kimmo retires. - Tomahawk
I think if Boyle would have settled for a one yr deal he'd be staying in SJ.
Rumors were they offered 1 and he wants 2. |

I'd rather just let Raffl and Akeson run with the ball than expend resources on those two. - Tomahawk
I wouldn't mind a guy like Kulemin or Pouliot or Raymond. Someone under 3mil hopefully. But I also wouldn't be upset with Akeson and Raffl playing as long as they do something about the fourth line. That needs a lot of work. Its going to be either Vinny, Laughton or Hall I guess? Maybe Rinaldo instead of Hall, but Id much rather they bring Hall back. The Rinaldo ship is over with for me. |

IMO, the Tom Gilbert ship has sailed. Would have been nice to lock him up last summer when his value was at an all-time low instead of getting Streit, but he's played himself back into the $4M range, and that's too much for him, IMO. - Tomahawk
Interesting, you believe he could command that much considering he is coming off sports hernia surgery and almost out of the league heading into last season. Not writing you are wrong, plus apparently with new ownership Tallon has a larger budget this offseason, so he may value Gilbert a little higher as he apparently complimented Campbell very well.

For $24 million, heck yeah. I would feel all warm and fuzzy at night looking at my bank statement on-line. - ravishingone

Perhaps, the Flyers should be patient and save a bit of money. Maybe, they can find a bargain towards the end of FA. |

It could have destroyed his career and cost him a ton of money in the process. |

I think they can get Kulemin for pennies on the dollar after the last couple of seasons. |

I think somebody's going to pay him that range, if not Tallon.
He's always been a good dman... that last contract just blew expectations out of proportion. |

Have Z1 and Z2 fight it out. Whoever survives, gets the spot.
Edit: I do love that lineup though |

You've been on the Kulemin train for a while now this offseason. I hope you are right.

He looks like the potential Gilbert of this offseason... nice two-way game, solid underlying metrics, has some pop in his stick.... I love a good value buy. |

Oh the Ghoulborne kid? Isn't he supposed to be a decent fourth liner? As well as being a face puncher. |

If Rinaldo loses his roster spot, you can almost bet that his NHL career will be over -- I don't think he's an NHL player on many other teams. |

He's lucky he was even drafted, could have probably landed him in the 6th or 7th rounds |

He'll bounce around. I think another team would take a shot with him. He does provide some good energy.
I just think players like him are a dime a dozen. I don't see why the team feels the need to give him a starting spot every game. He's not good enough to have carved out an everyday spot. |
