Been there done that with cats and dogs. Tough duty when the critter's been a part of ya for 15-20 years. - ArlingtonRob
Yep. We rescued a 3-year old mutt from the Dallas pound on her last weekend. They'll only keep a dog for 30 days. That was 10 years ago, she's probably 13 now and really starting to slow down. Vet says she's doing great, but I know that day is coming closer and I'm dreading it already. |

A lot has been made of the low number of shots/chances for the Hawks this year in the post season. How about turning that around and looking at their conversion rate? Miller only had a .897, Bryz a .904 and now Quick a .850 save % against them. If the Hawks continue to bury over 10% of their SOG, they are going to be one seriously tough out, especially with the way CC has been playing since he called himself out. |

His resume is so thin ya can't even say that...
Your #BACKUP is really INEXPERIENCED....probably a more accurate statement.
Needless to say Therrien is rolling the rookie dice tonight. |

The team is on the verge of back to back cups, 3rd in 5 years. No boner, just in awe of a great team.
My only real point was that the Wild bloggers as well as the Minnesota media pretty much said all the same things that Lewis said today in his post loss blog.
Outplayed the Hawks, could have won, out shot 'em, out chanced 'em, had the better scoring opportunities etc... etc...
Yet here the Hawks sit once again on the winning side.
I think the Hawks organization knows something the rest of the Hockey loving world doesn't. Because they can play as mediocre or as dominant as they want and they continue to win.
I just don't think there's anyone that can stop them, and that's not slighting the Kings, I just don't think the Kings (or anyone for that matter) are good enough. - MnGump
They've gone out and acquired the players who fit a system that's designed to stretch out opponents, keep the puck form them and wear them down.
Here's the other thing, Chris Osgood used to stop a lot of shots sometimes for the Red wings, but the quality of the shots/chances was not always great. In part because of how the Wings played (quite similar to the Hawks by the way).
I will concede that the Kings generated a lot of shots and chances in the second period. The Hawks had the better of it in the first and third. So how that gets to the Kings "outplayed" the Hawks is kind of delusional. |

No, Bylsma put his there idiotically. Also Eli, Iginla's not a center. - rollpards19
He had played at center in Calgary, and i think that might have been 4-5 seasons ago. That hardly makes him a center, I know. However, I was just spit-balling an idea, that's all. |

Damn that sucks with Price hurt. I really wanted to face the Habs in an exciting, open, end-to-end series than the Rangers. Another boring team |

I've lived with - and fallen in love with - probably 10 cats and a couple of dogs in my adult life - all lived to at least decent ages (a couple of the cats were 18/19 when they had yo be put down) - each one was tough to let go of.
Now we're down to one 11-year-old Pekingese - smartest animal we ever had. |

It very well could end up being Bowman pushing Teuvo to start there next season... |

That's really tough for sure. That's the thing with pets, you know they have a shelf life of about 15 or 16 years. In that time they really become a part of the family |

You're assuming quite a bit here. How do you know Tokarski won't do the Ken Dryden thing? But I agree that I'd much rather the Hawks play the Habs, and that the injury is really unfortunate in every possible way. Total bummer. |

I think that for the good of hockey there should be a five year run of Original Six SCFs. Got Boston out of the way last year and will check off another this year. Can the Leafs get to the finals in the next 3 years? |

Ye of little faith but that is true. This will be a really tough and Long series. But looking ahead, if it ends up being Rangers and Kings. I doubt I even watch. |

That's fine with me the one I would like most is Chicago-detroit. Followed by Montreal and then Toronto |
