Won't be happy until it's a threepeat...at least.

Could be a number of factors but the Hawks have faced 2 now 3 teams which play good defense.

Also there hasn't been 1 game yet when the Hawks have played at a high level for 3 straight periods in regulation....Plus 2nd periods have been dismal in each series so far except for 1 game.

Hawks stay perfect at home, win Game 1. Plus trying to make sense out of the NHL :On The Blackhawks: Fox Chicago:http://bit.ly/1gHw0oq

Nice write-up, Al. Good catch on Krugman's lack of face-offs. Something is wrong for him to only take two.

Maybe I need angry Dale Tallon back to scream about Kerry Frazer and his blow dried hair or Denis Morel or McCreary or Masenhoven or Stewart or VanHellmond.

My point is, you knew what you were getting with those guys. These new guys....they miss some very blatant calls. Look at Walkom last year vs Det. That bizzaro bs yesterday....the 6 guys Minny had on the ice for damn near a whole shift vs the Hawks in game 4, the 6 men on the ice for the Habs-Bruins game.....

I can't name an official in the NHL who I think does a good job and calls it consistent for both sides.

- SteveRain

Talent pool of officials is very low...They won't go back to one ref and pay the guys who are decent more money.

It is a big problem and to think the training ground for NHL refs, the AHL doesn't use a two man system but about half the time is another illogical point.

I couldn't find it, but yeah...this.

I was looking for the one with the audio of Burish screaming "that's your best hit all season" at Carcillo.

Biggest issue as I have said many times and really is a black mark against the sport...No other game tweaks their rule book as much for playoffs as the NHL.

...And the Hawks have shown they can win either way.

Bollig taking an easy spill yesterday is something the Hawks don't do enough of....I see more blatant dives in this post season than before and seldom if ever is a player called for diving.

Diving is another area of poor rulings. They only call diving with a penalty on the other team. If without the dive there would be no penalty on the other team, the "diver" should still get two. Just like with suspensions, the league does not really want to end diving; because it could do so if it wished.

Bollig absolutely tuned somebody up too, might have been Doughty(?).

Bollig actually had a pretty good game yesterday, and 15 more shifts than yahoodi predicted on my FB page! HAHAHAHAHAHA

- John Jaeckel

Well, he did have to that incredible case of wind burn from Tyler Taffoli skating by him most of the night. Nice seat for that goal.

But whatever. Believe what you want to believe. Somehow you have me as some Bollig hater, when I've been anything but this season. I suppose you have to tilt your windmills at something and I'm more than happy to provide a target for you sir JJ.

Can never hurt to have options. Edmonton is a mess and needs Defense be nice to turn Leddy into something as im pretty sure Q will want him gone sooner rather than later.

Wiz I liked ur Woodstock story from a few days ago. I would never go to a place that crowded. What is ur view on Sam Bennett?
- tomcat24

The funny thing was we also left with the crwoads a bit ealry and never heard Hendrix at the end...that always bothered me because we were still three freaking days since we had no idea where the car was...where we were was far enough away to not hear him close, but close enough and in the wrong direction find the car. Honestly thought we had a good idea but went in two wrong directions until we covered most bigger roads when there we a whiole lot less cars left on them and we found it. I never went back up there and I bet I couldn't tell you were we parked except that we were miles away.
Bennett and Reinhardt are great kids but I am betting Buffalo, Edmonton and most of the early pickers are not gonna wreck them with early involvement, because they are NOT star material guys, just future lunchpail guys once developed.
Think Logan Couture (the now version) and how long it is taking for the all around play to polish into a good and not a potential one.

Just like you with Keith right? Or how about Rosival? Or Brookbank for the entire season?
- rollpards19

There really is no reasoning with you or many others here, is there?

Roszival has been bad this year, of that there is little argument. He was very good last year and certainly very good in the playoffs.

Brookbank was not very good last year but definitely was much better this year. One of the reasons was very clear to me: he was not out over his skis much. Playing within one's own capabilities helps a player tremendously. Brookbank is not the greatest skater by any stretch and his attempts last year to rush the puck were ill-advised. Most of the time, thoughts of him doing that were cause for many of his woes. Once he decided to play to his strengths and abilities -- he's played much better. And I have multiple times made that comment -- but of course, your choice is to ignore that as well.

And I have many times commented about Keith's overall solid play -- and the gaffes he's made were more to point out that he is also not without flaw. Much of that has been covered by the solidity of Seabrook backing him up.

I had also admitted that my desire to see Seabrook traded was ill-advised since he seems to more than have fully recovered from whatever funk he was in for the longest time. He had a solid season and certainly has been great in this yr's playoffs. So again, what's the issue there?

Unlike you and so many others here, you guys can ONLY see the flaws in Leddy's game. For you and others, there is no good to his game. He's only beaten like a dog every shift, never completes a pass, misses the net with every shot and is otherwise worthless. Sort of amazing. Never have said the guy is perfect and have often commented about him learning to be more like Keith in certain aspects of his game. Fact of the matter is you and others like to beat on Leddy and essentially have nothing good whatsoever to say about anything the guy does. Just pick out the bad and continue to bang on that.

And so, how does that relate to pulling for ALL the guys in the Indianhead?

Perhaps he and TG are hanging out together somewhere, lamenting that they have nothing left to contribute to the board....

I'd be more concerned about who Bowman brings in this summer to hold down the #2C spot for next season...
