I've played on a team with Bartley, he wants to win at all costs and will do whatever necessary to get that win. Not a bad thing to have, except when he starts bench clearing brawls - gravyboy33
I like to win at all cost and even enjoy a fight here and there but I wouldn't want to end someones career under any circumstance. Having been on here I understand Bartley and agree with a lot of his thought process that however I can't get on board with |

No regret for Bartley, he gave one of the nastiest ankle slashes I have ever seen which started the brawl and used his silver tongue to avoid suspension |

The suspension hearing phone call was for the cross check, that was 100% deserved.

I know under the new CBA there is a certain point at which a portion of the Cap hit stays with the NHL team. Ie, the Pens can't waive Scuderi and be rid of his cap hit. But not sure what that dollar amount is. However, I think you are correct that Adams's contract can be removed that way. - s0rcerer1984
We cannot simply waive/demote Adams. He is on an over 35 contract, so I think if we waive/demote him we save $100K and he still counts $600K against the Cap, which would just be wasted money. I don't see anyone giving up anything in a trade for Adams, so i think we are just stuck with him next year. Maybe a trade where we retain as much of his salary as we can for a 7th would entice somebody, it would at least save us more than waiving/demoting him. |

No to bolded...
cant buy out adams bc he signed after CBA same as scuds...
you have to trade scuds and even martin to let some of the young guys have a slot
im 50-50 on retaining flower
gaborik is interesting but i doubt he comes here.. would need to get wings via trade |

Stay away from Gaborik too. He is an enigma. He shows when he wants and he is fragile too boot.

I cant see a realistic way to get sutter to sign here for anything that makes cap sense so who are your guys to fill center and bottom 6 out? Also if you are trading martin and playing the young guys you may as well get of fluery and bring in someone who isnt going to be a contender anyways and wait for jarry

only in the offseason... and trade deadline... oh and at the draft....
mostly I just want the team I root for and who I pay $$$ to see as a STH to not only win games but not lose to crappy teams, and look like poop in playoffs every year...
isnt our duty as fans to want more, i know some call that being spoiled but i call it caring |

if sj goes after miller, and pitt goes after niemi, then flower can get traded and start new...
as for sutter, I would like to resign him bc like you said i dont think they can, might as well trade his rights for a 2nd and hope they can fill it from with in the org... Pitt has a problem of drafting Centers and making them play wing... so they actually have a ton of centers in wbs... just have to give someone a chance
or trade scuds for umberger and let RJ be 3rd line center |
