A 51 save performance vs the London Knights, followed by a 47 save one against the Edmonton Oil Kings.
Bibeau's junior progression:
Year 1: Passed over in the QMJHL draft.
Year 2: Selected in the 6th round of the QMJHL draft.
Year 3: Selected as playoff MVP.
That quite the path of progression, and at 20 years of age, it's time for him to play against real pros. - The Shrike

MAybe you're right.... I did see Holland on TV last night talking about Mantha. Said he'll be given every chance to make the wings in a top 6 role, if not he'll go to Grand Rapids. He's done with the Q and he's younger than Bibeau (turns 20 in Sept).
So I guess Bibeau can move up. I thought that it takes 2 years after draft year to move up. He was a 2013 draft year, so I thought he wasn't eligible to move up until 2015. - burn
No, you were right, I made a mistake on the birth date. |

Yeah, my bad I thought he turned 20 last may and was an overager. Rules are he has to either turn 20 by December 31st of the season he is playing or four full seasons as a junior. - LeafMan
He's 20 now, so He does fit that category.
Drew Mac is UFA. They have Sparks and Gibson. Do they sent Bibeau to the E or send him back to the Q for his overage year? He's not even signed yet. They have till 2015 or they lose his rights. |

You sure?? He's 20 right now and Holland was talking about how Mantha (20 in sept) is top6 with the wings of going to Grand rapids. His days in the Q are done. |

According to the rules, Mantha is not eligible for the AHL, it is wings or back to Junior. |

Wow, so next year will be a completely wasted one in terms of progression for him.

Looks like it, according to the CBA as I read it, he is not eligible for the AHL. |

He would of had to be born in 93'
you have to be 20 the year prior.. so next season he can play in the AHL
EDIT: by next i mean 2015-2016 |

From the CBA 2012
Players drafted and playing for CHL teams are ineligible to play in the professional minor leagues (AHL, ECHL) until they are 20 years old (by December 31st of that year) or have completed four years in major juniors. |

yup, means he would of had to turn 20 before 2014, not during.
and i am pretty sure they dont count the two games he played in 2010-11 as a season either |

I mean you have to (give him a chance),” said Red Wings GM Ken Holland. “Yeah, we’re going to give him a real chance in camp. I think we’d be pretty stupid if we just gave him two exhibition games and then sent him to Grand Rapids

I believe you have to be on the roster or play for 25 games to be consider a full season. |

Ken Holland said on TV last night that he's done in the Q. He specifically said he'll be given chance at top 6 with the wings, and if he can't win that spot he'll go to the A. |

Well, they can still bring him up for training camp, and some exhibition games, then make a decision. He'd have to blow the socks off management to make the big club though, so I guess it's back to junior. That said, looking at his history, he has been grossly underestimated before, so maybe we'll be in for a pleasant surprise. |
