Matt Greene will be lucky to get 1 mil. He's a healthy scratch and can't skate. He plays 10 minutes a night, 2 of those on the PK because he doesn't have to move. - AdamFrench
there are a lot better options than Matt Greene thats for sure...like Holzer |

I'm curious who you think the Leafs should take at 8th and who you think they'll end up with. Thanks, I'll hang up and listen. |

His contract demands will be scary. Might be prove too much for us. |

GIven what is out there (i.e. SFA) I think the Leafs shouldn't even bother to make a call. |

Gleason should be thanking whatever god he believes in for getting long term deals. Man if Greene gets 3.5 and Orpik 4.5, I can only imagine the dollar signs in Markov and Boyle's eyes - AdamFrench
Meh tougher SOB than Greene and Orpiks thats for sure But really is Orpiks that broken down? |

I would pick Fiala, best mix of high end skill, skating and is willing to fight for his ice. Watching him at the WC as a 17 year old out there, you can tell his speed and commitment to going into the dirty areas will serve him well.
Leafs will probably pick safe, they love safe picks. Other than Kadri (who was the second highest ranked guy left other than the injured for the year Cowen). Safest at 8 is probably, Ritchie or McCann. |

Read an article the other day saying something about Shanahan not worrying about needing size or safe picks. I was thinking Ritchie if he falls or maybe Perlini? What do you think? |

Guy has bust written all over him, gut feeling. I would be disappointed if they draft him, take a risk on the explosive Ehlers if he is available or Virtanen. |

He's going where he wants to for a dollar amount he wants to. See Iginla. It won't be the highest bid, just the best fit for how he wants to finish his career.
Speaking of which.....wtf type of cap circumvention is this for Iginla? 6M but only a cap hit of 1.8M? Bullpoop!
