I wonder how Bickell's regular season numbers compare? Are they effected by being on a superior team?
I rather retain Michalek myself over Stewart or take a run at Callahan. |

agreed. i think michalek brings more than stewart and could be had cheaper.
callahan would be awesome, would love to get him. that being said, i think he's gonna get BRUTALLY overpaid this offseason. a team like buffalo, who needs a captain and "face of the team" will probably give him a blank cheque....especially seeing as he's from there (or close to there) |

Travis Yost: Chris Stewart is a Terrible Trade Target - Travis Yost
I would prefer that all of the assets obtained in a Spezza deal be combined with other assets to land the one player available this year who can make a huge difference.
The power forward I want the Senators to deal for is Evander Kane. |

What's the feel on whether Hemsky will be back with the Sens? I actually think the B's would be wise to look at him to complement Soderberg and Eriksson if the price were right. |

I don't mind Chris Stewart. I do think he has a hot or not style of game, but given the right situation may thrive. I don't think he is a top line player, but could defiantly provide secondary scoring with a mean streak. That said, I do not want to loose a decent prospect for him. I've heard Stone is the guy T Murray wants. Stone will basically become Stewart, if not a better player, so I don't see much sense in that deal from our perspective. I wouldn't cheer or grown brining him in as long as the deal is reasonable. I'm sure Buffalo isn't looking to just give him away though, which is why I think a deal hasn't been struck yet. |

I'd sell my soul for Kane. |

As a grinder in the bottom 6 he is fine ,but he could be a bit to expensive to resign net season even with moderate sucess |

ive been pretty adamant about stewart...i have no interest in that guy at all..the last thing this team needs is a guy that plays 25% of the games...i dont know why the organization seems so high on him...
id rather keep michalek...and would love to keep hemsky, but i highly doubt that he stays.. |

I will be somewhat surprised if Hemsky ends up some place different than Spezza. A team could transform their top 6 with those two players. Watch for Nashville, Florida and Pheonix surprise us with the strength of their trade offer. |

The only other player I would want that strongly is J.Bo. I think he is the ideal partner for Karlsson. |

if you figure that out, we'll finally have an answer as to why they extended greening. as travis mentioned in the blog, they're essentially the same player. |

if murray asks for stone, i hope his uncle hangs up on him.
the most i'd offer (and i hope they don't offer anything) is prince straight up. |

It's kind of creepy how similar they are, actually. Stewart might have a half-leg up on Greening on the scoring differential alone (think it's like 0.12 per-game iirc), but otherwise, it's fairly close.
Other than Stewart maybe exhibiting an uptick in shooting ability, I don't see much else there. |

As a Blues fan, I was happy with acquiring Ryan Miller...... but I was absolutely ecstatic that we were able to unload Stewart! It was worth everything we gave up just to get rid of him. |

Good comparison on Greening-Stewart Travis. If the deal for Stewart could be Greening+Prince I'd pull the trigger though. They might both be comparative as far as Corsi goes but at least Stewart can score more goals whenever he gets the chances. |

Well, you also have dumping Greening's contract in there, too. That could incentivize Bryan a bit. |

This might be a rare concept but if someone writes something, especially first, I try to give them credit for it. |
