Why does it seem to be impossible to get the simplest facts right?
(I assume it's because in this why-bother-to-give-a-damn age it's just too much trouble to check.)
In any event, to set the irresponsibly inaccurate record straight . . .
the Sabres do not have three second round picks in 2014, or in 2015. They sent the picks acquired for Regehr to LA in the McNabb/Fasching deal. So they have two, not three, picks coming in the second round in both '14 and '15.
But hey, why nitpick when it would have taken two seconds to get it right.

No offense, my friend... but before you rip into others you need to get your facts straight. The Sabres got 2nd round picks from Minnesota in 2014 and 2015 for Moulson... the pick in 2014 is via Winnipeg. Just checking my facts.

Thanks. I'd suggest the Sabres wouldn't see more defensive prospects as a target with Myers (24), Ristolainen, Zadorov, McCabe, and Pysyk all developing nicely.

Greening is a toss-in.

So we're looking at starting with Stone - and I'd suggest there needs to either be a higher offensive prospect there or several picks.

The Sabres do have 3 2nd round picks in 2014. Our pick, 39 from Winnipeg, and 49 from Minnesota. We get 2 2nd rounders in 2015. The two picks we traded to LA were MA's picks they traded to Buffalo for Robyn Regehr. We also have 2 2nds in 2016.
