Whelp, I'm pulling for you guys. I hated your team back in the day with Hasek, Barnaby, Peca, the Devil, etc., but the NHL needs loyal, small market teams like Buffalo to succeed if the league wants to stay healthy. Plus, it will be good to watch you guys stomp a declining Boston team. - wolfhounds
Itll be interesting to see how bettman keeps mcdavid out of buf. |

Knowing they have Harrington, Maatta, Depres and Pouliot to fill in for them makes me sad again. - Tomahawk
You are so harshing my buzz.
Still, losing known assets for the potential of prospects...that's always a gamble, and the odds are long all 4 hit their high-water marks in the NHL. Even Maata could take a step backwards next season and nobody would find that particularly surprising, especially if the D core is broken up. |

On Schenn I hope he doesn't get more than 2.3 or so. Kid still has much to prove. I'm fine with a one year prove it. |

Yea lets lose a young roster player who just scored 20 goals for a pick that May or may not pan out five years from now! |

It depends on the offer. If some team gives a ROR type offer, I think you have to take the two 1st rounders. |

i do have concerns about him and nerlins coexisting, but whatever.
my hope is that the cavs and bucks go for the other two guys because they are just way more marketable |

I don't think there is anyone who can convince me that Schenn is more valuable to the team than Coots. I think Cotourier's offense will start to catch back up to the way it was in his rookie year.
Not saying I am in a hurry to get rid of Brayden but if they can make a deal that brings back a good Dman I am all for it. |

Both lol, although Schenn at least had points in his career when he was OK/good... Myers is way out in Jack Johnson/Jared Cowen country. - Tomahawk
Myers was a lot better this year. He is starting to turn the corner from what I hear |

Bill Meltzer: Meltzer's Musings: What is a Fair Contract for Brayden Schenn? - bmeltzer
In principle Schenn should get the same deal Couturier has already signed. Couturier does get more harder minutes in a more defensive role but to be fair, Schenn has the better offensive numbers. I wouldn't give him anymore then 2.25 million a season. I do feel Schenn is further ahead of the curve then Jake Voracek was when first coming here. In my opinion he should only get a bridge gap deal. Also keep in mind the Flyers organization MIGHT have screwed Schenn out bonuses his rookie season. That's a huge might though but I can't blame him if he doesn't make things easy on the Flyers. I wouldn't trade any of our youth unless the deal is too good to be true. Brayden Schenn for Evander Kane, is not a too good to be true deal. |

Even if Sean Couturier becomes Manny Malhotra instead of Rod Brind'Amour, you still have a pretty damn good player. |

Watching the Real Madrid vs Atletico Madrid Champions Match....
Gus Johnson is unlistenable. All he does is screams the players name. You have no idea what is going on. He is Fox's top guy and is signed on to do the World Cup. Ive heard him over the years doing Pac-12 games snd hes not bad snd brings some excitement to the broadcast but his soccer skills blow |

People making the comments about moving Coburn plus for Myers... That would not fix anything on the backend. Myers is not a #1 in my opinion and makes just as many if not more mistakes in his own end as Coburn does not to mention he's probably not as good a skater as Coburn. - RobFlyers#1
That is because Myers is #2 |

You gotta take BPA. Especially, in the NBA draft. If both end up being good, but can't co-exist then you trade one in the future.
Lots of different scenarios for the draft. If Lebron is going back to Cleveland, they may want to take the best current player, which is Parker or Embiid. The Bucks have new ownership and wanted to make the playoffs last year. They could go after the best current player too.
In all likelihood, the Sixers are going to end up with Parker at No. 3. Not a bad consolation prize. |
