I would love for the leafs to land both 1 and 3.
Phanuef + Reimer + holland to edm for 3 and fasth.
Gards and 8th to Florida for 1.
Take ekblad 1 and either Bennett or Reinhardt with 3 - Leafer749
Let's get all top 10 picks and take the 10 best guys! |

One of the names Oiler fans were interested most in was Matt Finn, an offensive Defenseman playing for the Guelph storm who NHL central scouting had ranked 16th for North American skaters. In his draft year he went 61GP, 10-38-48 but he stands only 6 feet tall and less than 200lbs, so the Oilers overlooked him. This past season he was the 2nd highest scoring defender in the OHL, ahead of Nurse, ahead of Ekblad. He might turn out to be one of those "what if" players that all fans point to when they think about the mistakes made at the draft table, but its still too early to tell.
Now the player the Oilers chose and the one they probably should have will meet up in the Memorial Cup Final as the Oil Kings take on the Guelph Storm. Mitch Moroz had an impressive WHL playoffs, tallying almost a point per game but hasnt been nearly as effective in the Mem Cup. Finn, on the other hand has 4 points in 3 games and is a +8 at the tournament.

Komarov looks good for the fins.
We need players like him.
I would go as high as 2.5 for him for 3 yrs.
Basically replacing kuli.

Im not saying they should draft him, but I wouldn't be too upset if they did. Chances aren't high that whoever they take will amount to an elite player, so Im not stressing it. |

He's a forth line player.. not saying I don't like him but 7.50m over three years is too much money locked up for a forth liner. |

I don't think he would be out of place on the third line. |

I don't mind that amount for him. I'd rather that than 4-5 million for Bolland for 5 years,. |

I was quite shocked when Edmonton passed on him. Burke built the D nicely for the future by getting Rielly+Finn in the first two rounds. |

Not going to lie, I would stress a little if the Leafs acquired the top pick. Chances are they would trade up and make the wrong selection. - BetterCallSaul
Our last number 1 pick was Wendel Clark |
