Wow. I actually hate him. - Giroux_Is_God
I have for years. Awful analyst. Nine times out of ten he does nothing but state the most blatantly obvious things during play. Rarely offers good insight. |

Like I said last week. Phillies have entered one of their patented dark ages. The fun has just begun - Just5
They better hope Lee gets healthy, because they need to get at least one MLB player and several prospects for him. If Papplebon stays hot he may actually become tradable without eating too much money if the right situation arises. The vestin option makes it harder though. |

it's not clever talk. it's "look how smart i am". it's almost like dennis miller with his ridiculous obscure analogy comedy. - hammarby31
Oh, you mean like Regis? "Look how knowledgeable I am" or "Listen to how french-Canadian I am since I pronounce Bergeron like Berj-er-auhhh" |

My issue is, I have absolutely no faith in Amaro to get good returns for anyone he trades.
Look at the trades he made when he dumped Victorino and Pence-he got pennies on the dollar compared to what he paid for Pence, just a year before. Look at what he got when he traded Cliff Lee to Seattle...a bag of nothing.
Amaro is a horrible GM. |

i don't think it's a conceited/intentional approach from him...it just comes across that way in the sense that all you notice is his vocabulary and silly sayings instead of the game itself. |

He also has serious Rangers, Penguins and Hawks bias. |

The funny thing about Pierre is, when he's not doing the games, he's a pretty good analyst. He does a spot on XM radio every day and he's not a name dropping character and goof ball. He's low key and offers good insight about players. He's not their blowing up star player's balloon |

I do agree with this. Doc doesn't seem like an bumhole. He just likes the game....I'll give him that.

He should try this on TV then.
I'd still hate him though. And call him Regis. |

Like Homer RAJ had his shot. I'd let him go before the dump at the deadline. That panic trade of Lee for Gillies, Aumonte and Ramirez was just terrible. So many teams would've wanted in on Lee.
I should add he traded the farm for Pence and then dumped him for peanuts. Just really dumb. Heck he let Scheirholtz go the next year for nothing. Why trade for a player you're going to cut. |

doc loves the game. it's his life. and i'm sure he's a terrific guy.
i don't think pierre is a Richard either. he loves the game too, and it's his life too...his approach has a smugness because of the name dropping and yet he's a ball licker too. it's a weird mix. combined that with his general monotone voice and it becomes a bad weird mix. for me anyway. |

Watching Nash reminds of Vinny, since he (frank)s up 85% of the time the puck is on his stick.
And I'm okay with this.
I'm not ok with Brassard right there though. (frank) that. |

Yup. Noticed this too.
It's just a trainwreck. You know he just sits there eating dinner with his family and, mid conversation, his kid says "Look at this pot my friend made...it's so artistic."
Then Doc goes EUREKA!!!!!! and makes a mental note - Giroux_Is_God
Haha oh man. I'm digging the CBC Hughson feed. |
