Wrong again. The consensus was Quick > Crawford. Also, go back to the pre-series threads. At least 2-3 of us pointed out that forward speed is significantly lower from last year for the Hawks and obviously higher for the Kings.
Every fan base has it's share of cowardly trash talkers (HI US!). Most of them aren't interested in the game - just in baiting. - tredbrta
Well....you seem to be the cowardly trash talker. I was just making a couple of friendly personal observations. Its guys like you that say dumb shyt that give your fan base a bad rep. |

The general consensus from Blackhawks fans, self included, even before the Kings knocked off ANA, was that regardless of who came out, it would be a more offensively focused affair as opposed to the Blues or the Wild. I felt like that would be more advantageous for the Blackhawks, but it appears as though they haven't been able to find there offensive stride yet in this series (something that has been sparatically missing from their game since Jan. 1).
This is really what makes a hockey playoff series so fun/tantalizing. A great offensive game for the Hawks and everything swings to how the Kings will be able to answer... Where as now, some serious questions are being brought up as to how the Blackhawks even made the playoffs in the first place... - PuckAndSticks
I thought....if this series is more of a shootout then Kings are doomed against the skill of the hawks. I am proud of their play and I'm sure its motivated by the spanking the, champs at the time took from the hawks. We all k ow this is far from over and hawks aren't two time champs for nothing. This game is big and should be the best hockey so far. |

Your team originated from Atlanta...For a Canadian city that should be a slap in the the face. Go tend to your cattle now, ya bum - LA_Kings6720 Wow two of the 7 Canadian teams came from Atlanta and that is supposed to bother us?
Anyways the Kings sure are kicking ass tonight. I've supported LA in the playoffs ever since Darryl Sutter started coaching there. Guess what he's an Alberta hick just like me. He actually own a farm. He tends to cattle. That's ok though if you want to disrespect the best coach in the history of your team. |

Drew Doughty? Best player alive.
Seriously, bros? The Kings are the team I WISH the Leafs were.

I can't deny that I like what he says though. If, and I mean if, the kings can deliver the death blow to the hawks........looks good, but the fourth win is rarely a gimme, then the kings will most likely play the rangers who are no slouches. With Nash, Richards, StLouis and Lundqvist they have great skill and momentum going as well. I hope that is the finals matchup ...........best in the west against best in the east.............aside from m
Canadian fans, that's gotta be be what most people want to see. |

Agreed. I'll definitely wait until the end of this series before I start worrying about the next one. I think they'll close it out in game 6, but like Jones pointed out in the post-game, the Kings have lost three consecutive in their first two series. Can't get ahead of ourselves, that's for sure. |

I was there tonight and liked it live
The last 2 games Muzz and Slava have given a giant f u to everyone who thought they were overrated. Leddy, Hjalmarrson and Roszival they were supporsed to be better than any teams 1&2 d. Lets ask Crawford 15g allowed in 7 periods and a minute how thats working out. |

There is a guy ......captain black hawk that can't accept that Chicago's D is below the Kings D despite the fact that the Kings are statistically the best in the league, let alone any other stat that doesn't compliment the hawks. He is no where to be found since after game two. He got under my skin last year and I was routing for the bruins just to shut him up. The D from The hawks last three games should shut him up and all his "Seabrook is better than doughty" crap.......just he and Mike milbury think that. Wtf is up with Milbury? He must have money on Chicago or is dating someone on the team. He is almost worse than Hayward two years ago. |

Milbury was a hack as a GM and a hack as an analust (I've had a few, thought both meanings applied).
Pancakes me too. about Leddy. I don't understand it. Roszival sucks, ever since he pretended Brown ended his carreer he has had bad joojoo.... I still don't understand why they haven't gone with Brookbank. He is actually a tough MFer. the guy stands up for teammates and clears out the front of the net. |

I agree....from a military family I appreciate their personal sacrifices and where they put themselves for our freedom.
After watching the interviews from Toews and Sharp I think the Kings will end it in Chicago Wednesday They sound baffled and disheartened. If Kings score first its over. |

Nice game LA. Your team defense is working wonders. LA's defensemen aren't better than Chicago's, (minus Rozival of course) that's not a proper argument, it's the team's defense. You have 4-6 great back checking forwards, we have 2-3. Quick is great, unquestionable, but having 3-4 men collapse on the crease and slot to clear everything loose or even make a save sure makes his numbers even better. Suter has developed a great defensive zone strategy and the team follows it militantly.
Be grateful your offense has found it's power play for point production, or the strategy would be less ideal. Exception game 2, but remove empty netters, PP goals and these are 1 goal games. BUT, you've won, that's the difference all day long. Just making my point that there's no super human players or GM's, just chemistry. Hawk's and King's are both terribly elite in talent, King's have a more experienced and disciplined bottom six. Richards on the 3-4th line? How do you compete with that?
Chicago has holes in their lines, and we have all year, I did not see a Cup but as would happen to any fan, I started to see how it was possible given our success in these playoffs. Not looking so this morning...I think LA has used all the come from behind mojo in these 2014 WC Playoffs. |

We also need to credit Terry Murray with developing that defensive mentality in our forwards, especially Kopi. I don't understand why a young team hasn't brought him back to the big league. Who wouldn't see him as a superb fit for a team like Edmonton to start addressing their defensive coverage.
But I like what I heard from LA after the game. We all know #4 will be the hardest to get. |

Listening to Kopi's post game interview you would think they didn't win a wcf game. He was already focused on the daunting task ahead. How can anybody not love that guy? Gritty yet clean, 3 zone badd ass. |

Also, yeah! Why isn't Murray coaching his D system some where in the NHL? He put together a solid system that was in a bad goal scoring rut . We still have a bad ruts now and again.......we definitely could have won a cup with him (with picking up carter of course) |

During his stay in LA, it was pointed out over and over how the guy was a perfect fit as a teacher for a young team. Sutter comes in to get us over the hump, but there are plenty of teams looking to fill out their pedigree on d. Really I think Edmonton should be chasing him for AT LEAST an asst spot, if not head coach. Or the Caps cleaning house, bringing in Trotz, why not add someone like Murray to address their enormous holes in d strategy. |
