I hate Memorial Day Weekend. Work is insane, the roads are a mess and you can't do anything without a stampede of tourists. - Jsaquella
Yup, the bbq was in Northfield. I try to avoid the islands at all costs on holiday weekends!

We went out and about on Sunday, driveways were blocked by idiots parked illegally, guy was going wrong way down one way street in Cape May-and the street is as wide as a sidewalk in Philly-and just generally being asses. - Jsaquella
Last night we hear a guy slam into a car down the street. The guy tries to floor it and get away with his bumper hanging off of his car and his back left wheel completely torn. He hit and parked car a just took off.
Cops nabbed him down the street. Did he really think he was going to get away with a flat tire and bumper hanging off? |

Ah yes, scratch what I said before. If the Kings let his rights lapse, then he becomes UFA. Right now, no other NHL team can touch him until after draft+2. - Tomahawk
Ok i was just curious. There are some names I would look at. Plus a guy like Hyka who they were previously interested in I'd be curious to see hextalls take since LA drafted him. I know lukas Sutter is on the list and karlsson |

Rooting for Carter, Richards and Williams. It will be like old times again. - PhillySportsGuy
i'm not actively rooting for them, but at this point, there's no option left. montreal and chicago are not coming back, so, LA is it.
something about williams bothers me. like a slight smugness. it's probably an invention in my mind. wouldn't be the first time. i think i hate that he very quickly became a much better player in carolina and then won. it's not his fault he got traded, and had not been traded in '04, it would have happened eventually like in 07 or 08 and they still wouldn't have won with him, so...
i don't even know what i'm saying. |

I had work Friday and Saturday. Friday I had to go into Wildwood, wasn't awful yet.
Saturday I was in Cape May Courthouse and Lower Twp, by the Ferry. But at the end of the day they sent me into Wildwood by the boardwalk and into Cape May on the Washington street mall...Holy cow.
I am amazed there aren't more car accidents and pedestrians hit by cars. |

i don't think the drivers out here are very good, but we just don't have that kind of stuff go on. population density and roadways don't allow for it. it's something i love about living here. |

What type of chance do the Habs and Hawks have of reaching the SCF?
Stat of the day:
The last 64 teams to hold a 3-1 series lead in the Conference Final, said teams are 63-1. |

Stupid is as stupid does.
I heard Sea Isle was just as bad. They've had road work all winter and spring and the Townsends Inlet bridge just re-opened this week. |

You would think.

Thats true, but there is a noticeable difference in his current playoff play and his Flyers playoff play. I don't know if it has to do with maturity, not being relied upon to do so much, luck or just feeling comfortable.
I'm just saying there is a noticeable difference. He's a better playoff performer now than before. Even when he was healthy before. - PhillySportsGuy
Well, he is also playing center. Could have something to do with it...the line he plays on- the "That 70s Line" (which is a 10/10 nickname by the way)- really has some fantastic chemistry. Also a plus.
Just to put it simply, he seems like a better player in the playoffs now than he was with the Flyers. You're definitely right. |

Lancaster area for the win.
If there's traffic on a main road like 501 or Fruitville Pike, you can just take the back roads and be the only car on them! 55 mph it is! |

The biggest issue here is, these island towns have every damned inch of space jammed with rental properties, food places and tee shirt shops. You get a 5 bedroom duplex in Sea Isle, the area it takes up in terms of ground space is the same as a normal house. But each family staying has 3 or 4 cars, bikes, wave runners, etc.
Hell go to the Wawa in Avalon, NJ. People literally just stop their damned cars and go into the store. it's ridiculous |

We have a place down in Wildwood....always have. Not the same one, but we've always had a place to stay there via grandparents, etc. That's been the beach of GiG and family my whole life. |

Wildwood's not bad. There's a group of guys at work that go to a few of the bars in town and it's usually a fun hang. Gets too crowded in summer, but it's better than Sea Isle or Avalon. |

I usually tell people headed down to stop at the Acme in Cape May Courthouse or even hit the one in Seaville. Less people, less traffic...just avoid getting frozen goods, because it will be melted by the time you get to the house. |
