Montreal was ranked much higher in those prospect things before a lot of them graduated. And a lot of those (namely Hokey's Future) aren't that great. The thing is Montreal doesn't have anybody over $5M right now (excluding Vanek) so they have plenty of space, and guys like Pacioretty, Subban, Galchenyuk etc. are only going to get better.

That combined with should be the downfall of the Bruins, they could very soon be the best team in the East. (Downfall might be too harsh, but with Chara getting old, they aren't going to be as dominant as they have been.)

i've been watching these games with a keen eye focused on the habs goaltender and it really seems that his style has stopped more pucks than the other guy would have stopped

i don't think it's a matter of vigneault owning therrien. it is simply that therrien is absolutely horrible at bench management and the canadiens are gassed as a result of it. his line composition is also very suspect and he has too big of an ego to make the necessary changes. I've never been sold on him as a coach and i'm even less impressed with him now.

No offense, but you just made a perfect case that AV is outcoaching MT.

And they'll all want raises, if they're as underpaid as you make them out to be. Every team has young guys getting better. Sheesh. Downfall of the Bruins? Premature no?
- systemtool

The only guy getting a big raise any time soon is P.K. The rest are signed long term. And the downfall comment is just a prediction. They aren't going to be top of the league for much longer IMO.

Subban is gonna cash in big.
Not having people over 5Mil is actually bad, that means there are no superstars
on the Habs and I am not familiar enough to know if any are coming up.
Most likely a playoff team, but no where close to contender without major changes.
Boston may be getting older, but the Wings (Pav and Z barely played), Bolts and Leafs will get better.
So might as well be fighting for the wild card, depending on the moves over the summer.

No all stars? 1. Subban 2. Price 3. Galchenyuk (soon) and Pacioretty nearly scored 40 goals this year.

Pav and Z are like 100 years old. Leafs will never be good. The only team really on the rise is Tampa.

Galchenyuk is a star?
Pacioretty is a star?

How many goals do they have in the playoffs when everything is on the line?

And the Wings will finish higher than the Habs next year. Book it.

I put (soon) beside Chucky for a reason, and I did not number Pacioretty, hence I do not count him as an all star (I can see how that was confusing).
