Watch the play again. Kreider tried to catch his balance and get a shot off which is what scorers do. You can even see he tries to hockey stop but is going so fast and knucklehead trips him. In one second he goes from the hash marks to the net. Not a lot of reaction time.
Funny though. No crying from the Rangers when Brassard and Stepan and JT Miller were knocked out. Two dirty hits, not one tear from New York. - jnyfive
That's a joke right?

Hey Ek, you do know the Canadiens' top 6, top 9, whatever, are facing Henrik, right? You can just throw all your fancy stats out the window. Here's a stat for ya: If the Rangers score 3 goals against those Pepsis, they win. |

You are using incomplete evidence. Emelins stick bends about 7-8 inches. You know how much force it takes to do that? He's off balance and gets hit. Accident. Only Hab fans think otherwise...but thats not surprising since they also flooded 911 with calls for Chara...

Chara's hit was bordering Bertuzzi territory, if not worse. |

By that logic, it makes Price a wuss? All that padding on him and he twists a knee. Lundquist stops rhinos, you know!!
Poor baby.
Brassard and Stepan hits makes it 2.
I missed the Miller injury last game, can't say if it's 3. - StargateSG1
Stepan hit was a late hit is the only one that was dirty. Brassard hit was fine and Miller was going to the net at the goalie after Nash took out Tokarski, what do you think is going to happen? Good on Markov for taking him out.

He broke his neck and almost killed the guy. I don't understand how people brush that off. |

There was really nothing left to say to your comment. I maintain that he should have fallen head first if he was going to fall at all. As far as I'm concerned, Emelin's stick bending just pads my argument. |

Meh, I didn't say he did it on purpose... just that it's not the first time he runs a goalie that way. - Pecafan Fan
Did you ever consider the fact that Kreider is probably one of the fastest skaters in the league (considering he's supposedly as fast if not faster than Hagelin who won the fastest skater comp) and he is also 6-3 230lbs.? What other player in history had the speed of Pavel Bure and the size of Eric Lindros? If you noticed, all of the times he's crashed into goalies it was because Dmen were beat and did everything they could to illegally check him from behind. MAYBE dmen should start adjusting the way they play him instead of trying to derail the biggest speed train in the league when he's got a clear step and heading right at their goalie! |

This diving stuff is BS too. Montreal is embellishing at the most. As a Habs fan, I would call it assisting the official. There were no phantom high sticks, and even Vigneault said they were all penalties.
The Rangers are being reckless and dumb when it comes to taking penalties. |

The Brassard hit seemed a bit late but not as bad as the Stepan hit. I agree the Miller hit was not dirty like the others but he was riden into the post. Hockey play. |

Yes they were penalties, didn't really seeing anyone argue they weren't. The point being, if you take a high stick to the shoulder, and you act like you just took a slug to the forehead, should that player also be called for embellishing? Just like if a player gets tripped, and decides to do a full superman, its a wash. |

You hate Chara because you hate the laundry. Chara never has played with the intention ending guys careers or severely hurting someone. Comparing what was a bad decision to hit a guy very late to what Bertuzzi pulled is ludicrous. You're deluded. |

Boyle's high stick on Plecs. Hit him in the shoulder/chest but Plecs head snapped back and penalty was called. |

You can say all the things you want with statistics but the bottom line is the only reason the Rangers are where they are is Lunqvist The ONLY reason Each player should give a percentage to him because without him they are on the golf course where they belong. And to set the record straight.....The Rangers will get blown out no matter who they face in the West. Bazinga - holeinone
1. Whats your point? Lundqvist is a Ranger, not a ringer they brought in for the playoffs.
2. Lundqvist doesn't score goals.
3. Lundqvist isn't the only reason the Rangers are like 2-500 on the PK.
4. Lundqvist has nothing to do with the Team's possession numbers on the other side of the Ice.
5. Out of the 18 playoff games played so far, Lundqvist has really stolen maybe 3 games. The team scoring and offensive contribution is the rest. |

Chara: "Sorry officer. I didn't mean to kill that guy!"
Officer: "Ok. You can go."
Doesn't work that way bud. Whether he meant to do it or has an IQ below 70 is irrelevant. It is still one of the ugliest acts I have ever seen on the ice. |

Brian Boyle penalty, was the shoulder, still a high sticking penalty, the embellishment was bad. Subban also was a penalty, but it was embellished. I don't have a problem with any of the penalties called. Would like to see the embellishments called. Granted its a fast game and the ref wont see exactly where the stick hits, but I thought the league was going to look at the tapes after and possibly fine players. Nothing personal here, just Habs players had a couple embellishments last game. |

It's no use.
The homerism is all time high with that one.
Or maybe Lasik surgery didn't make it to Montreal yet.
