I think Couts can play that spot, if they decide to give him a little bit of ozone minutes and try to build his confidence up. Couts has a rocket of a slap shot that he never uses. - FlyersSteve118
Possible, he'll need to show me. |

Sorry, he's only as good as what we've seen last year. There can't possibly be more to his game that hasn't surfaced with the Flyers yet. - bradleyc4
nobody said that. i said i didn't remember those types of goals. i'm also in favor of keeping schenn and letting him develop further, which i've said many times. |

You know how it works. The players on the outside have point responsibilities. I don't need to see Vinny chasing down a flubbed puck at the point against an opposing forward. He'd have to throw all of his equipment at the guy. - mayorofangrytown
I just thought it would have been nice to try him out.

I hate them because:
1) They're (frank)ing boring
2) I hate Dorsett's whining, diving, and lack of eyebrows
3) They're the New York Rangers - BulliesPhan87
theyre so boring. because most of their guys have (frank)ing stone for hands. so they level the playing field by just mucking the (frank) out of everything. cant do that in the regular season, so they are a mediocre team.
dorsett is a talentless loser.
and yeah, theyre the raynjas |

All I can say about Brayden Schenn anymore is that I hope he becomes what those that observed him in the WHL think he can be.

the flyers didnt do more clutching and grabbing than an over eager prom date that year though.
but my god if they had won a cup with leights in net. i might have had to move - stayinthefnnet
they were a jeff carter fail away from a game 7.
everybody blames leighton. how about the bad clearing attempt by powe and timonen getting beaten like a mule to the outside by kane before that shot goes in.
failed clears are the bane of my existence. |

not at all. i want the whole team to die in a grease fire. and honestly, i was pissed csp got pulled. i want that dude to have to suffer through a whole game and being left out there for 60 minutes with the game out of reach in large part due to his poopty play. protect the guy's fragile ego much? jeeeez.
part of me wishes to see them advance only to lose in a cup final. it's (frank)ing rubbish they've only been to 1 final in the last 35 years and won the only time. meanwhile we're 0 for (frank)ing 5 in the same span. it's (frank)ing bullpoop. i want pain. - hammarby31
but but but.... if he is forced to stay in there in a shootout type game in which he doesnt have his best stuff and everything is wide open, his pristine save percentage might suffer. we cant have that. |

yeah. i mean yeah for me it is what it is because its the flyers, but there was nothing reprehensible to the game itself about the flyers cup run that year. |

Right, but in order for the 1-3-1 to work properly, everyone on it needs to be really skilled with the puck. That's not Lecavalier's strength. - bradleyc4
how come it works with Hartnell and Simmonds?
3 of the 5 have to be skilled with the puck? |

Simmer and Hartnell never really handle the puck much. I don't think Jake handles it much either. Giroux probably had the puck at least 50% of the time. Maybe more. |

pretty much, when Kimmo moves closer to one side of the ice either Giroux or Voracek slide back towards the blueline to man the other point |

they are the current devils. they play the same way. a few guys with top end skill, but full of a team that just forechecks a team to death, cashes in on a turnover - or from a neutral zone turnover and stretch pass, and then sits on that, clutching and grabbing and blocking every shot to a 2-1 win. it's awful. |

i can't stand the way he plays, with his feet planted on the goal line, how he moves, his (frank)ing picnic basket catching glove with 4x practice palm and mummified wrist so he can't close it, his lucky shaft/crossbar saves...all of it. |

the only way I would trade B Schenn right now is if St Louis says we need a 2nd line center, we'll send you Shattenkirk in exchange.
short of a deal like that forget it |

they were a fun team to watch with an interesting mix. steve mason, now, on that team, and they win. i've also said it before, and i'll say it now, leighton was outstanding for them all year...until it mattered most and fell apart, but that was a team loss, it wasn't a leighton loss. |
