IMO all we need to get #6/#7 is Ehrhoff and #39. And I'd do it every day of the week, and twice on Tuesdays. Virtanen is going to be a monster. - LetsGoBuffalo75
If you would do it all day, it probably means you need to add more. |

Vancouver and Carolina says no thanks to that deal IMO.
Vancouver is going to retool but the last thing they need to do is trade that pick for another d-man making 4 mil. They need a top 6 forward and lack high quality in the prospect pool. New GM needs to make a mark with the pick and Hoff isn't it.
Carolina was foolish enough to trade a top 10 pick for Staal. I'd bet if they could do it all over again they wouldn't make the move. Plus with a new GM that pick has more value to them if they keep it. See Vancouver.
IMO the only team you might be able to convince is Anaheim and even then it's a long shot. I see them instead reaching for Alex Tuch who is compared to Getzlaf.
12-20 is probably more realistic with 15-20 being almost a lock if you make it Hoff and 31. Hell 31 and 39 would probably get you back in the 18-25 range by themselves. |

When is the last time a team moved a player and a 2nd for the top 10 pick? The closest thing was Pittsburgh and the Staal trade, and that involved a first rounder. |

Schneider - sbroads24
Another team that got ripped off IMO.
Actually both teams did.
NJ overpaid for Schneider and then in turn Vancouver overpaid for Horvat.
That said Schneider has more value than Hoff. |

Saw Godzilla last night. Too much love story, not enough Godzilla IMO.
Pretty good though. |

agreed that they did not have enough of the lizard
many of the older movies had the same amount of face time, but that was my biggest issue
the last 30 minutes may have been the best special effects in any movie though

I'd add whatever we needed, but I still think Ehrhoff and #39 would get it done. Schneider, a questionable goaltender, was traded for a top 10 pick in a supposedly great draft class in 2013. IMO Ehrhoff is worth more than him, and in a less deep draft class, it wouldn't surprise me if Carolina accepted that deal and gave us #6. Their D isn't too amazing. Adding Ehrhoff would improve it massively, and would make them a playoff team easily IMO, so long as Ward doesn't poop the bed again. Even if they didn't accept the first deal, we can add enough with no problem. We have the assets.
Still, best-case scenario for me:
#2 - Reinhart
#6 - Virtanen
#31 - Demko |

No way Ritchie makes it past TOR, for one. Highly doubt Nylander makes it to 6. I see him pretty much swapped with Virtanen. No chance Ho-Sang goes all the way to 20, and also very unlikey that guys like Barbashev, McKeown, and Kempe go that late. It's all my opinion, but I have to disagree with a lot of that. |

Hold up if we're trading up to 6 everyone should agree ehlers or bust |

I love him, but IMO he's just more risky than Virtanen... If Virtanen is gone, or we only manage a pick at 8/9, then absolutely. |

Disagree here. Virtanen has all the tools (and size) and has scored at a PPG pace in the WHL |
