I'll admit it it... I'd been leaning twards Bennett.
But after this, I'll take Reinhart.
The two have just been so close, for so long, that everything has to factor in.
Clearly Sam Bennett will need to get stronger before attempting to play in the NHL. At least one more season in juniors, but maybe a yr in the AHL as well.
And while Reinhart's speed and skating may be a concern for the NHL pace of game, this kid has older brothers in the league to help mentor him in the process gearing up his game for the next level.
Just hope his skating is better than Grigorenko's... |

Has anyone seen a good rundown of the combine, other than the no pull-up issue? |

I'm 35 and way overweight and I can do one...
Pull ups measure upper body strength. He should be able to do one...
Just saying. - dadeadhead
When I was his age I could about 20 for those stupid physical fitness tests. |

I did 12. Not bad for a girl. Hard to believe he couldn't do one. Anyone can do one.

ennis can play on the wing with hodgson...don't see a reason to move either - feetontheair22
One will need to be moved in the future.
As talent starts to come in here Hodgson starts to move down the depth chart. As he moves down the depth chart, he has to become more defensively responsible. Something he will never be able to do.
Ennis is small but creative. His all around game is much better than Hodgson's. Staying healthy is going to be an issue for him in the long run.
Both are 2nd line guys. IMO neither strikes me as guys you win with. They are complementary pieces at best. |

Ennis is a 2nd line player, as is Hodgson.
Which one do you keep in the long run? - dadeadhead
We have a few years to make that decision . Both might stay if Hodgson transitions well to the wing.

Modern draft build up 2 things happen. 1 all the experts praise the top dman and all the hockey fans start drumming up reason why the 2nd or 3rd choice foward should be picked ahead of the top guy. |

U draft the guy who will be the best with the least amount of doubt. Bennett has noodle arms and no lats. The kid couldn't even pull up 170 lbs once and he's suppose to be a top end athlete. What if he beefs up, which will take a few years, and his skating suffers and then his whole game suffers?? Too risky when u have a safe bet out of reinhart. Furthermore isn't any one else worried that Bennett could be a flash in the pan? Only 1 season to judge from where reinhart had do e it for 2 seasons. Just seems like the smarter pick. |
