Nope. I can't do any of that poop. Just a CD thing and that's it. I can listen to the radio, but I don't have a) a jack or b) a tape deck to do the radio thing that some people do - Giroux_Is_God
You could try an FM transmitter (broadcasts to an FM station of your choosing), but the ones I've used weren't that great. |

The doors lock using super secure luxury duct tape. It's not a bug, it's a feature. |

yeah, i wouldnt trade the aux jack for power anything in there. its weird. locks, windows, dont really suck that much during the use of the car. but what does is manual mirrors. |

I've used those too.
One interesting thing I found in the car is that, sometimes, if you pull up next to someone who doesn't have their satellite radio built into the vehicle, their transmitter might be on the same frequency as your iPod.
So, instead of your music or podcast, you get whatever crappy thing they are listening to. |

If you know of a good one, let me know. I also lack a tape deck and aux jack (though my car is otherwise pretty nice imo) |

If you're argument is that a team can't become a Cup contender by constantly picking in the bottom half of the draft, you're wrong. There are all star talents taken all over the draft. Most of the top goalies are picked in the middle rounds and many of the top defenseman are as well.
Look at the remaining teams. Many of those great players were picked at the end of the first round or in the middle rounds.
It's probably easier to find elite talent in the top 5, but it isn't a necessity. This isn't the NBA. You can find all star players after the first 15 picks. |

oh okay, what youre advocating is collecting a lot of good guys, and then trying somehow to pool sokme of them into a superstar or two. fair enough. i was just confused initially as to what logical progression you were trying to make.
although, the grass isnt always greener. its hard to be a bigger superstar than crosby or malkin, and people say one of them should be traded to get a bunch of those mid level guys.
and do you call him dimmer because he is black? racist - stayinthefnnet
Simmer. Damn auto correct. This all started because someone posted on another blog trade schenn bro and simmer for eberles and edm #3 pick. I agreed with it and most posters didn't. Somehow that got into stay the course with current players and build thru the draft. I again disagree as to the only elite talent we have is g. Maybe jake too. |

I"m in my car about 3 hours a day for my commuting/running about.
I load my iPod with podcasts and such and I'm golden. I only need a radio to listen for traffic reports on 1060. And I could probably even do away with that if I wasn't old. I know I can get traffic reports elsewhere, but unless 1060 says it, I guess I don't believe it. - johndewar
Yeah, I hear you. 1060 all the way to work. I'm not at the podcast thing yet. I just got an iPhone today. I'm skidding my Droid down the turnpike tomorrow. |

And which teams consistently draft this elite talent year in and year out? Which teams do this and win cups? Over the just the last 15 years who has built strictly thru draft to get their elite talent without moving pieces to win cups. |

i figured i was just teasing.
and yeah i understand. i understand everyone has and is entitled to different opinions on what they would do. there is no way to quantify that into a correct/incorrect statistic. however, i usually like to at least be able to see the thought process behind some things, and at times in your arguments they have been difficult to consistently pin down.
as for that trade offer, i didnt see that one. and its very, very interesting actually. i dont know if i would do it or not from a flyers perspective. simmonds is just a difficult piece to lose. but i am a very big fan of eberle. |

if you are saying that you need to pick high to win, in hockey, that is simply not true.
but if you are simply saying that maybe trades should be more aggressively pursued, thats a different matter entirely, and is just a matter of opinion. im always game to hear those bounced around. theyre just more enjoyable when they are rooted in a rational thought process. |

I figured eberle solves the wing problem with g. Top 3 pick get bennet/ Reinhardt/ ekblad. Either a#1 dman Philly needs or a 1a center. Both better than schenn. |

damn it. see i thought we were just finally getting on the same page.
you just told me you werent advocating tanking. i dont agree with tanking, but again, should you want to, thats a matter of opinion.
but i get lost when you repeatedly say youre not advocating tanking, and then say you need to bottom out and get top 5 picks. |

Of course, if you've accumulated a surplus of young assets/picks, you can eventually move some of those to bring in pieces to push your team over the top.
The Flyers aren't at that point yet... they have one of the emptiest cupboards in the league... |
