I like Schenn better at center because I feel he's one of our 3 best centers and will be for the foreseeable future.
I believe he could adjust to wing, but he would need an ENTIRE season to get acclimated. It took Carter a while, but he's become a very good winger. - PhillySportsGuy
I don't see him needing an entire season. I think that he's just as good at Wing as at Center. I actually think his skill set is better suited to the Wing. But regardless, what they need to do is make a decision where they want him to play, and leave him there. No more switching back and forth. He's either a center or a wing.

I listened to the road games on the radio because they were not televised...I remember listening to Gene Hart describing the brawl at Vancouver when the police came on the ice and arrested flyer players |

Would you prefer what the Phillies have? Or the Sixers? Or a return to the days of Jay Snider?
Ed Snider has to be less meddlesome, but I'll take a guy who wants to win and demands success over a guy whose biggest concern is making a couple bucks. - Jsaquella
Id take what the Sixers have right now yes....they are closer to a title than the flyers

We've gotta cross our fingers for Couturier to develop his offense. he could turn out to be Manny Malhotra, which is still a very good player but not very offensive but was taken in the first round once apon a time. - SuperSchennBros
He's 21, has spent the bulk of his career going up against the toughest competition the opposing team has, and usually with lesser skilled wingers. He starts more often in the Flyers' D-zone than anyone and had been asked, until this season, to be almost entirely a shut down guy.
This season was the first full season where he had skilled linemates for 82 games and he scored 13 goals, while facing top level competition. |

Good lord there were some awful teams in the mid 70s. The Flyers used to beat the Kansas City Scouts and the Washington Capitals in their sleep back in those days |

I wouldn't say that. The Sixers are made up of complete unknowns. The Flyers have one of the top 5 forwards in hockey. |

They're potentially closer. Right now they just have draft picks. What if the guy the select at 3 becomes Greg Oden or Sam Bowie, part two. Or God forbid, Len Bias part two. Or what if he just sucks and can't play, like other Sixers top picks like Shawn Bradley?
Hinkie built a team designed to tank. They did. Now he has to draft right. |

Is Versteeg the only former Flyer in the series without a goal? Does Richards have one? |

Even if he does draft right, it still takes time for a team to go from contender to actual winner.
The Clippers got it right with Blake Griffin, the Thunder got it right with Durant, Westbrook and Harden and have only had 1 finals appearance.
if everything goes to plan, the Sixers will be a playoff team in 2 years, a contender in 3-4 year and a potential championship team in 5-8 years. |

Yeah, it's a game where you need superstars to be a serious title contender. Do the Sixers get one at 3 or 10? |

I really like this draft and I like Hinkie, but even I know this is anything but a sure thing.
At least the Flyers have some nice pieces in place. The Sixers don't have many pieces in place. |
