If only he was healthy.
The only thing I have been really pissed about is the morons in local media questioning Mason's toughness, when he had concussion symptoms the night before game 3. - Jsaquella
yeah, i get it. and at the time, nobody really knew if it was concussion or whiplash or something else. i understood giving emery the game even if mason were healthy...i was just thinking he's on the bench, he can go.

Some of us were pretty sure...
But I get it, and yeah it could have been a different series, but they got badly outplayed in game 7, especially in period two and despite Mason's brilliance overall, it would have been a tough task. |

i initially thought it was his knee, the way he fell back. then it was clear it was something around his head, but in watching the replay i'm still surprised...the hit wasn't that hard, and it didn't look like he hit the back of his that hard. i guess it doesn't take much, and i really hope this isn't a problem that stays with him. goalies are not immune. it forced mike richter to retire a few years too soon. just one example.
it was going to be tough in game 7, no doubt. i just hate that they came up so small - key guys don't deliver. it was almost a carbon copy of 2004 ecf. |

The ambiguity in his symptoms, plus his apparent lack of focus in practice and fatigue screamed concussion to me. |

So we lost power and I had to listen to the. 3rd and OT. Was Carter offside? |

that he came back so soon and there was talk even right from the beginning that it didn't look like anything serious had me uncertain, especially now with how teams are at least supposed to be careful with their players regardless of what's at stake. i thought if he's got a C, then he's done. but he came back.
either way, the whole thing (frank)ing sucks. |

It does suck. But given the Flyers past treatment of concussions...got to wonder if they will learn |

that's what i thought you were referring to in your question. i didn't think carter was even on the ice, as he'd been paired with richards for much of the game. |

Nope. The controversy on the GWG was that Justin Williams slashed Nick Leddy's stick out of his hands, then fed Alec Martinez for the shot that Toffoli re-directed past Crawford. |
