He's been granted exceptional status by yourself and the gang here on the Sabres message board because of his last name, his "exceptional" intelligece and the "exceptional" number of articles regarding the draft he's been mentioned in over the last two years. - GilPerreault11
People are just trying to find stupid flaws for him like they did with john tavares
because they got bored of him . |

He's not on the same plain as John Tavares. If he was, there wouldn't be any doubt about who would be drafted 1st overall. |

Yup, Crosby was a pretty good playmaker in junior as well. |

It's not just us.
Craig Button has him as his #1 player over Ekblad. Personally I think it's a 50/50 chance Bennett ends up here |

Agreed. Rienhart is not Tavares and Ekblad is not a Doughty/Weber. They aren't that caliber |

Im thinking 33.33 for him, Ekblad and Draisaitl. I don't know why (and I think you mentioned it yesterday as well) I just can't picture Reinhart being the pick. |

For a couple years going into that draft it was the anticipation of John Tavares by the Canadian media. Not to the level of Crosby or Lindros but it was pretty big and low and behold he was the one. |

ugh, i still remember the endless parade of rumours about how Burke was going to be the leafs saviour and get the 1st pick from the isles to take Tavares. |

I think Reinhart will be the choice if he is there . We have grinders in the system and Girgensons . We need someone that can get those guys the puck . A team full of grinders does not get you a cup . You need some smart players to. Murray likes Reinhart's on ice hockey sense if you listen to his interviews . Nobody knows but Murray and company . We won't know till they hand the pick in. |

Yea I just can't picture it. I can picture Ekblad more than Reinhart. I think it's because we have been beating the Reinhart drum for almost a year, seems unlikely to actually come to fruition.
I feel the same way about McDavid and Eichel |

Bennett is not a grinder. I know it's hard for most Sabres fans to picture but a player can be skilled AND play with grit. We haven't seen it here in Buffalo...um, ever. Maybe Mike Foligno? |

The other day I posted an envisioned lineup for 2016-2017 that didn't feature Reinhart/McDavid/Eichel and it still looked very good to me (though i might be biased )
I think people are becoming far too attached with the players themselves rather than the pick. Drafting top 3 equals your best chance at high end talent. The sabres might not draft that player that I specifically want but that doesn't mean they aren't getting a very talented player, which is what this whole rebuild schtick is all about. |

The interview I heard Murray do he said Bennett can do what the others do (Reinhart) but he plays the whole ice and never stops, is a fierce comeptitor and never quits. Does that mean that Reinhart quits, doesn't compete as well? I think we'll have to wait and see. |

I still want Bennett at two, but I really don't care who we get out of Ekblad, bennett, or Reinhart, they all grade out the same. I just hope we get the best player at that spot. |

Not all...still here and thinking if he is that in your face with no upper body strength...imagine the beast he will be when he puts some muscle on his frame and he has a professional show him how to do it with out losing flexibility. I actually see the positive side of this! |

No offense to Mike Foligno as he was my favorite as a child but I want someone better than him at 2 overall. |

Foligno averaged about 55-60 pts a year. This would be the worst draft in any professional sport if there wasn't anyone available at #2 overall who could match that. |

I wasn't comparing them as exact type players but similar mentalities with offense. Mike Foligno was what, 3rd his draft year? |
