I can't decide if I'm happy that Maria Sharapova and her prissy, pissed-off self with great legs will be playing on Saturday, or if I'm saddened that adorable, cute, girl next door Eugenie Bouchard will not. - jmatchett383
No idea how Maria got so good on clay... at least Genie won a set this time. |

Narrowed my draft list to 10 (3 of them I'd say may not make it to #17) |

That was for the 12/13 season. According to the CBA, it increases at the same rate of the NHL's averag salary. So it goes up every year. - MJL
I dont claim to know anything about the CBA or any of that stuff. But he was OS'ed after the 11/12 season so I would think it falls under the category of that season which had a lower number cap hit criteria.
All I know is it was 4 first rounders I dont know how or why. |

I'd trade the 4 first rounders, and enjoy every dam minute of Weber in a Flyers uni! |

Not sure whether it was 4 first rounders or not. But the last part is absolutely incorrect. OS compensation has always been determined by cap hit.

I would have too without question. He would have been awesome here. My heart broke that day. Oh the possibilities. Although I do understand the concern people have about giving up 4 first rounders as thats a lot to part with especially with an already weak prospect pool. But an opportunity to get a guy like Weber doesn't come around very often if ever. |

I competely understand those that would balk at giving up 4 first round picks. That's an understandable position. But to say that the Flyers dodged a bullet when Nashville matched, is a foolish statement. The Flyers would have gained a star level defenseman, that is still relatively young. And a player that would have drastically upgraded the team. You don't get that chance very often. |

I've read some poor reviews on Tuch and you know how I feel about taking Fabbri in the first round. Everyone else I'll look up.
Edit: Just so everyone knows, my poor opinion of Fabbri almost guarantees the kid will be a star and I'm well aware of it. |

I am touch and go on him but feel Tuch, Fabbri, & McCann might be gone prior to #17
I could narrow it down to 5 if I needed |

Pastrnak is the guy that jumps out at me... pure skill, shifty, nice shot, put up great numbers for an 18-yo in the Allsvenskan.

Do you feel like Dal Colle benefited from Laughton's emergence, was it the other way around, or was it mutual? |

To a degree for much of the 2nd half of the season they were on different lines.......He played about as much with Cole Cassels as he did with Laughton. |

They didn't always play together and both excelled separately. Together they really dazzled. |

McCann should be gone but as a Centermen even if he isn't adding another one is overkill even though the Flyers draft Best possible player. Tuch and Larkin are what I call 'USHL overrated.' The Flyers need some SKILL and SPEED. We have big grinders and depth but Giroux and possibly Voracek are the only guys who can dangle. Schenn and Coots have the ability but they aren't showing it enough yet. Thats why it may be a risk but taking a risk on skill guys like Fabbri, Fiala, and Goldobin could prove beneficial. Barbashev is pure offensive magic, I'd love for Philly to take a chance ob the Russian LW. But they won't. I also love Honka and Mckweon on D. |
