Do you feel like Dal Colle benefited from Laughton's emergence, was it the other way around, or was it mutual? - Tomahawk
It was mutual, like Carter and Lupul, or Richards and Hartnell, or Lupul and Richards, or Hartnell and Carter, or Hartnell and Lupul, or Richards and Carter, or Carcillo and penalties.
Wait, what was the question? |

To a degree for much of the 2nd half of the season they were on different lines.......He played about as much with Cole Cassels as he did with Laughton. - ob18
Yeah, I didn't see much of their early season games but that couldn't be more true. |

They didn't always play together and both excelled separately. Together they really dazzled. - mayorofangrytown
Thanks, good to know. |

McCann should be gone but as a Centermen even if he isn't adding another one is overkill even though the Flyers draft Best possible player. Tuch and Larkin are what I call 'USHL overrated.' The Flyers need some SKILL and SPEED. We have big grinders and depth but Giroux and possibly Voracek are the only guys who can dangle. Schenn and Coots have the ability but they aren't showing it enough yet. Thats why it may be a risk but taking a risk on skill guys like Fabbri, Fiala, and Goldobin could prove beneficial. Barbashev is pure offensive magic, I'd love for Philly to take a chance ob the Russian LW. But they won't. I also love Honka and Mckweon on D. - Slipperypickle
I say just go the BPA route in this draft. No reaches or anything. Don't go ultra safe with a checking line winger, but don't go for the "home run or strikeout" either. |

I put him on my list because I feel he could slide & so do some I've asked about him.
I like Honk, McKeown is a mystery as he doesn't do any 1 thing good, talked to one scouting group who doesn't even think he's a 1st rounder let alone at #17.
I am liking Jakub Vrana more and more |

Watched every single game Laughton played with them & some he didn't while he was at the WJC and suspended. |

He and Pastrnak are my hopefuls, which unfortunately bodes well for them. Flyers will likely end up taking Reid Gardiner |

They should, they should also see if they can move back some & gain an extra pick or 2 |

Some years, playing it safe lands you Jeff Carter or Sean Couturier. Other years, it could mean you end up w/ Colton Gillies.
This looks like one of those drafts where you might want to take on more risk. |

I competely understand those that would balk at giving up 4 first round picks. That's an understandable position. But to say that the Flyers dodged a bullet when Nashville matched, is a foolish statement. The Flyers would have gained a star level defenseman, that is still relatively young. And a player that would have drastically upgraded the team. You don't get that chance very often. - MJL
Meh I wouldn't call it that. It's certainly a valid argument that they did dodge a bullet even though I dont necessarily agree with it. |

I think I caught all of their games after the new year. I had to figure out how to handle all the games that were available to me this season. By January I had found a groove. |

Roland McKeown is interesting, he does have a nice shot and decent offensive game and is working on how he plays in his own zone.............maybe if they moved back towards the end of round 1 if anything. |

I'm always going for going after BPA regardless of position but I would really like the Flyers to target a possible high-risk but high-ceiling forward with skill, preferably a natural winger. We have some pretty solid D prospects in the system and very few quality forward prospects. It's like bizarro world around here. |

Well what if Philadelphia offered the 17 and 48 to Anaheim for their 24 and 38? Anaheim already has a top ten pick as well.

That trade only works on the draft floor if Anaheim wants to leap up because their player won't drop. |

And with the 10th pick their own 1st can be taking whoever falls to them, if Anahiem makes a move I'd imagine it's to gain an extra 1st in 2015 |
