He had most of his junior success paired with speedier guys like Calvert and Glennie... maybe Read and Raffl might be a combo they could consider. Having them back the D in with their speed might give Schenn a little more room to work with. - Tomahawk
Tbh, I just want him at center and away from VL. He's shown to be a pretty good player when he's given those accommodations. |

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over while expecting a different result
Playing Schenn on the wing is entering that realm - AllInForFlyers
You could say the same thing about center because he's flipped between the two. |

I think you can fully expect Nashville to OS couturier in 2016 . It think they are going to make you pay high for that one .
As a trade I would offer up Tanev and a second for Schenn, but I know Flyers fans would turn it down. He was one of our best Dmen for periods of weeks at a time last year ,but is virtually unheard of out East. - VANTEL
Offer sheets don't scare anyone; in 2016 Nicklas Grossmann, Luke Schenn and Braydon Coburn all come off the books.
There isn't enough money in the commonwealth of Tennessee to formulate a contract that the Flyers couldn't match in 2016

I like Tanev, but no I wouldn't do that.
Couturier, likely, won't ever reach rfa. Flyers rarely let players reach rfa. Schenn is the first in a long time.
The problem with Schenn is his ELC was weird and his numbers suggest a better player than he was. There isn't a person on earth who would take Schenn over Couturier. In reality, Couturier is much more important than Schenn. - PhillySportsGuy
Maybe if Hextall is not locking up Schenn he is waiting for an offer sheet ?
Maybe he would prefer the picks.

i still think luke can be a good player for us, but i'd much rather have kept jvr. word is that he's someone the leafs are willing to move, which i don't get at all. - hammarby31
I read the players they want to keep are Kessel, Bozak, Bernier and Rielly. Everyone else is for sale.
Bozak....really? |

I don't think they would care as long as they could drive up the price to payback for the Weber OS. |

Nashville should be more concerned about making the playoffs before Shea Weber asks out |

Most I'd do is go to the 2nd round pick max of 3.36. 1st rounder is a bit risky for the oilers
Would the flyers match at 3.35? |

Yeah, they would; they can afford that and aren't so draconian that it would irritate them. If it gets to $4-5 million and a first-round pick is in play...I'm just a guy on a laptop but I would believe they might let him walk and take the compensation |

I know, but it was a big deal when Bozak was an UFA, (making Kessel happy)
They have enough problems, imagine pi$$ing off him off. |
