There was a stretch where the Rangers weren't good enough to dislike. Almost like they were irrelevant. The disdain has returned now. They have a bunch of players that are easy to detest.
The interviews after the game were priceless. |

I'm hating them as much as the mid 90's Devils, when it was 1-0 you could see them back off the opposing blue line, clogging the middle.
And I'm sick of the constant shot blocks, it's like Tortallini never left. - puckhead17
I have hated the Rangers and their nasty fans since 1968 when their fans sitting near us would say what a dump the spectrum and the city was |

The trip on Kreider did not get called on his OT breakaway right? That should have been a penalty shot. Rangers did get screwed last night
In still rooting for the kings. But I don't have the hate for the rangers like the 90s team.
And they don't touch the penguin disdain. Imagine if pens get brodeur. JC. |

Like Fleury needs the living legend, he doesn't have enough issues in his head?
Edit, that may get him to retire, playing on that wide open Pittsburgh team. |

Yesterday I suggested in the Pens thread that they trade Neal to Calgary for the 4th overall pick and select Dal Colle. The move makes a ton of sense in that youre getting a good NHL ready prospect with a high upside and you free yourself a ton of cap room in the process. Maybe enough to find a way to keep Niskanen. Simple idea right? They've been arguing over it ever since.
Maybe we won't find a taker for Vinny but the degree to which some of them think they'll just easily find a taker for Letang is insane. |

I immediately tuned into the Rags post-game as soon as the game was over to see the interviews. Lundqvist was crying about the non goaltender interference call. And AV was more bitter than that Hillbilly who lost the Belmont yesterday. - PLindbergh31
i didn't have that luxury, but i figured they'd be crying. i guess they had nothing to say about the garbage nash and queen dives, eh? they had plenty of opportunity to score with those pp's.
how about their bajillion dollar players actually do their jobs?
the rangers have gotten away with obstruction murder all playoffs. they can (frank)ing bite me. |

The play where Nash ran into Justin Williams and fell down was comical, ran into his back & fell. |

Maybe not. But I am not on social security yet......
The one thing I think we have in common as Flyers fans with Rangers fans in the 90's was the guy at MSG who held up the sign " Now I can die in Peace" if and when the Flyers win the Cup before I am drooling in a wheelchair......
Sorry to paint that picture
Think of happy fluffy bunnies instead

I don't think they can get the 4th overall pick for Neal. He's a very good goal scorer but relies heavily on the players around him. His goal scoring would take a big hit going from Malkin to Monahan.
I think they can move Letang, but they wouldn't receive much in return. They wouldn't be able to get the usual trio of a roster player, pick and prospect. |

Pretty sure Neal isn't worth that. His name is pretty tarnished around the league, and most of his goals come as a direct result of malkin's great plays
He's basically a better younger vinny. Who is at his best stationary ready to recieve a perfect pass to fire a shot
He is not good defensively or on the walls. |

That was very similar to Ovechkins dive in the playoffs against the flyers. Both of those guys are two of the strongest skaters in the game. They went down like they were Scott Hartnell on a balance beam |

"oh Hank was robbed" "poor Hank" "Hank needs to steal the next 2 at home" - puckhead17
at least he gets to play in the game, unlike price who got krieder'ed. but oh, that's just a hockey play gone bad, and really that's monteal's fault anyway because if they were faster, it never would have happened. well, the bump in the crease was a hockey play, and micdunnuh was just as much to blame for boxing him into the crease. the puck was already in the net anyway. i thought kings weren't supposed to cry? |
