The trip on Kreider did not get called on his OT breakaway right? That should have been a penalty shot. Rangers did get screwed last night
In still rooting for the kings. But I don't have the hate for the rangers like the 90s team.
And they don't touch the penguin disdain. Imagine if pens get brodeur. JC. - Just5
(frank) the Rangers. They were knee hunting all night long. Screw them and their dirty players.

That was very similar to Ovechkins dive in the playoffs against the flyers. Both of those guys are two of the strongest skaters in the game. They went down like they were Scott Hartnell on a balance beam - PhillySportsGuy
Or after a night out in olde city ? Or a great date with the weather girl!
At least we have seen pics of Ovechkin on a boat in the adriatic, drunk with babes
I question the manhood of divers on ice (not scuba) and turtling cheap shots/criminals (Matt Cooke)

Yes we saw the hit on Carter early, typical cheap stuff. If it was the Flyers they would have been called all night, being a Bettman wet dream final media darling city they get away with murder

all they're doing - the players and the fans - are blaming the refs for everything and feeling victimized. it's right where i want them.

Yesterday I suggested in the Pens thread that they trade Neal to Calgary for the 4th overall pick and select Dal Colle. The move makes a ton of sense in that youre getting a good NHL ready prospect with a high upside and you free yourself a ton of cap room in the process. Maybe enough to find a way to keep Niskanen. Simple idea right? They've been arguing over it ever since.
Maybe we won't find a taker for Vinny but the degree to which some of them think they'll just easily find a taker for Letang is insane. - hereticpride
I think Neal could fetch the fourth overall pick, especially from a desperate Calgary team who's been looking for a turn around for maybe five years now...or longer. Years ago we traded Ruslan Fedotenko for the fourth overall pick that brought us Joni Pitkanen. I understand this was a little over a decade ago now and it was a different time but all it comes down to is both sides agreeing to the deal. Calgary might be stupid enough to take Neal to turn their franchise around. I just don't see why the Pens would wanna give him up. Neal is apart of why they're considered a Cup contender every year. Was the deal Toronto made for Kessel worth it? I don't think so. I think they overpaid greatly. Toronto is less unbearable to watch since Kessel was traded there but for what they paid to get him, you would have thought the Leafs could have found away to get their team in the playoffs every year by now.
I'm not a Neal or a Letang fan but the two players help the Penguins win. As long as they can afford the two players and they're both provide the support their Superstar centers need, I don't see why either guy would be in the rumour mill.
If I'm wrong, I'm wrong. |

I am not a fan of either team, but the Rags are getting screwed over by the refs.
This has been the worst officiated playoff, all series included that I remember in a while.
Where is the accountability for these guys? "Part of the game" my ass. NHL is bush league officiating. |

I have no problem with the linesman not calling a delay of game on the the Kings. Its a (frank)ing stupid rule and if its close im not calling it. Im especially not calling that horsepoop call in the 2nd OT of a Stanley Cup Final game |

If it was the Flyers in the final I'd expect that call and be fuming if they didn't call it. |

The refs missed a call. I don't understand what the big deal is. poop like that happens in every game.
The non-call on the goalie interference was the correct call. McDonagh pushed the King's player into Lundqvist. It's just a dumb play by McDonagh.
Rangers got lucky on the Justin Williams penalty in OT anyway. How much crying would they have done if Kopitar flopped like Nash and got the call? |

Damn the people for wanting better. Its an old boys club with the officiating and out of all the major sport leagues imo the worst. |

I don't think the official was scared to call it a penalty. He thought it hit the glass. He just flat out missed the call. There isn't a referee in any sport who hasn't missed hundreds of calls in their career. It's an impossible job to be correct every time.
If you, somehow, think they are all replaceable with better ones, just remember what happened when the NFL officials went on strike. It was a disaster with the replacements. The Packers lost a game because the replacement officials didn't know how to make the proper ruling on the final play. |

They clutched, grabbed, and dove their way into the finals and they are going to female dog about reffing? I don't see one complaint about the Nash call....not one on the lunqvuist call?nash ran into Williams and sold it hard... - PhillaBully
i don't remember the female doging when they were given 6 power plays a game to our 2 in the first two games of rd 1.....methinks if we had a 12-4 advantage in the opening games the only thing the rangers are crying about at this point are bad golf shots |
