I honestly don't know what to think at this point. If they REALLY liked and had ZERO reservations, I suspect he'd have a contract by now, given past history.

My gut says they like Brayden Schenn, but they'd ship him out in a cocaine heartbeat in the right deal.

I think they keep him. He'll definitely be discussed in trade scenarios though. I just feel his value isn't high enough to fetch us an impact dman.

Depends what they can get for him. If it means getting a legit top pair defenseman who isn't too old-or a guy who could be one in a couple years, I'd trade him. It'll take more than him to land that, but as long as it's not too costly, I'd do it.

I think the price is too high to upgrade the Flyers defense by trading for a defensemen, assuming there are players available that would legitimately do so. I would rather see them upgrade their overall defense by adding speed and skill to their forwards. This starts with the wings on the 2nd and 3rd line and it means rebuilding a quicker yet still responsible fourth line. I really like Raffl and Laughton on the fourth line with someone who has speed and can play defense.

I guess my outstanding questions are:

Is Laughton ready?
Who do we get for our back-up goalie?
Will Hextall make a move at the draft?
Does Timonen retire?

It would be nice to see some of our prospects be ready to go but I'd also be ok if they needed one more season in the AHL.
And I am of course assuming that Emery gets a better offer from someone else. I'd like to keep him but I won't hold my breath on that count.
