If you really like Demko, you are going to be able to get him at 31. From #23 down, there is not a single team that needs a goalie. Demko is not going to get drafted in the first round unless another team trades up to get him. If I were Tim Murray, I wouldn't take him at 31 either because odds are there is going to be a decent forward prospect at that spot.

Buffalo is already deep at goalie prospects, they just have to hope one of them turns out.

I would still pass on the goalie, even if he would become our number 1 goalie prospect. Get the BPA (if we trade back into the first) and build a team that is good enough to win games with an average goalie.

Get him, sign him, and play him in Rochester for the next 2 yrs allowing them to have him for 5yrs on a 3yr deal.
