You never know when the pick is gonna be a generational talent. Nobody was sure about Stamkos after his 1st year. Also Alexandre Daigle was a "generational talent" when drafted. |

I agree that Hall, Yakupov and RNH aren't OVechkin.

With RNH & Yak, they would have been better off trading down & grabbing decent D with the pick and also reaping sweet extra assets for said process. |
