I would love to be able to draft Sam Bennett. Future #1C, who plays with heart, can be used in any situation, and even drops the gloves (rarely, but still, nice to see he's willing).

i don't want kesler cause of his diving antics. we don't need that on the leafs. his two way play is excellent, but his proneness to injuries scares me

I agree on the injury part might be big risk there we already have Lupul. Diving part doesn't bother me to much. I don't like it but its definitely not enough, for me at least, to keep him off the team.

It seems too easy, but Nonuts will fu ck it up! Move Dion in a trade to get into the top 3 and draft Bennett. Take the money saved from his horrendous contract and get a UFA. No more Dion running the room and just don't have a Captain for a couple of years. But Nonuts thinks he's got a contender here. I wonder if he's watched the playoffs, especially in the west. The Leafs are in another Galaxy, compared to where the western powerhouse teams reside.

who would you sign in this free agent crop? i'm all for trading up to get bennett and saving the 7 mil from dealing phaneuf, but who can replace the minutes he plays?

Ya mahn he's definitely a better option. Much rather pay him the money over Bolland to. Wonder what will happen to Kadri if the leafs do trade for a center.
