It's tearing this franchise apart! The Leafs need Phil and Tyler to get married already so we can get the "Does anybody object to this union" and JVR standing and saying "I OBJECT! I LOVE YOU PHIL!" out of the way and move on.

I sat beside a Leaf scout when O'Reilly and his Erie Otters played Kitchener Rangers. I turned to him after one period and said if the Leafs have anyone they want in the first round, forget it, and take this kid. He said O'Rielly didn't have open ice speed at all.

I told him, perhaps he didn't watch NHL hockey all that often, and that it is so congested out there, that a guy like O'Reilly who has swerves and derves and stickhandling would be sensational.

Guy listens now, when I make a comment on a player. I told him Schenn and Reimer were absolutely useless from the day they showed up. Guys with huge holes in their games. And it panned out.

Present Leafs? I would get rid of anyone for picks and bags of pucks except Rielly, Gardiner, and possibly Kessel.

I would trade Kessel if the package is good enough, because by the time Toronto is truly a Cup contender he will be worn out from all the attention he is going to get in Toronto.

Same for JVR, really nice player, has a problem with Kessel, would love to keep him. But we probably won't.

Kadri? Yeah he has talent, but he is an inconsistent skater and that is due to lack of body strength and conditioning. Its not that he doesn't try, he just wasn't blessed with an NHL body. Same as Wellwood. He has the kind of body that usually just sits behind a desk for the rest of its life.

Kadri is still young. Too much expected of him too early. Why get rid of him when the Leafs will most likely be giving up more than they got for him to get a similar player down the road. Why is Leafs Nation so obsessed with trading guys if they aren't superstars before 25? What if the Wings did that with Nyquist last year when he was Kadri's age? He wasn't even cracking the roster all that often, he probably should have been dealt since he was such a failure. Right?

I was kind of upset when I met Kessel that Bozak wasnt with him. But then I noticed a thin wire, almost like fishing line, around his neck. So I followed it and it led right out the door into a parked car. I tried to peak in the dark tinted window to see what was going on, and the window suddenly opened half way. To my surprise, Bozak was in the back seat and asked "Can you tell that mutt that he either pee's, or gets back into the car!? Thanks".

Kessel then pee'd on my leg, and I tossed him a treat that I had in my pocket.

A couple weekends ago I volunteered at a "Hockey Heroes Weekend" in Moncton, NB - 2nd year in a row. I volunteered to drive NHL alum from the airport to the hotel and from the hotel to the rink.

This time around, I picked up Brad May, Al Iafrate and Bernie Nichols from the airport.

All 3 alum said they wouldn't be surprised if the Cup final ended in 5 games or less. May said watching the Eastern final was like watching a peewee game compared to the west.

Man, were they ever right.

PS - Can we trade the entire Leafs bench for the entire Kings bench? Well done Kings, keep rolling!

Best thing I've read yet today! To be fair, I've been reading e-mails from CPAs who don't want to buy my product, and CPAs are typically pretty boring, especially when they don't want to buy from me. But my coffee almost went through my nose
