I think he'd have made every other country's team... US included - lumlums
Me too, but then again Hedman couldn't even make Sweden, so I don't know what you have to do to get on that team. |

So my wife went out back behind the building which she works at and sends me a picture of something she saw.....a Carlton the Bear doll, hanging from a tree by a homemade noose.
It was worth a solid chuckle or two |

Actually there aren't because both Reimer and Franson are RFA and give Edmonton some leverage to sign them to reasonable contracts, whereas UFA are completely free to sign wherever this wish and are typically overpaid. - As_I_See_It
i meant they're dime-a-dozen players and no team would trade from 3 to 8 overall for the privilege of having them on their roster. |

Don't undervalue what Leafs can do when they stop being Leafs. Like: I run a lot faster if I'm not running in quicksand. (spell check says quicksand is one word (spell check also says that spell check is two words)) |

I actually meant it in a sports fashion.
I seem to have an "extra gear" when the time calls. |

Both Franson and Reimer have shown that they can be VERY serviceable players and would upgrade Edmonton in two positions. A small upgrade, but one no less that I think the Oilers could be interested in.
You did notice that Cody/James were only a part of the package and that there was a "+ ?" also included right?
Edmonton needs to try something different. If they had managed their drafts better over the past few seasons i.e. trading the Yakupov pick or possibly trading down in the RNH draft, Edmonton could be in a much better position right now, IMO. The course that they're on or have been on clearly isn't working out as planned.
So what's the "+ ?" to make this work for both sides? |

The Oilers are going to have the best offense of the decade.

I player who's won, a player who knows what it takes every day to win, a player who you will know exactly what your getting every time he steps on the ice.
I agree it definitely doesn't fit what we're building here. - Bigzby
if you are talking about boyle .... he hasnt exactly won much lately
if you are talking orpik hes more the player the leafs need... but overpaying for him is not wise with the amount of holes we have. We have to stop spending huge amounts on UFA's.
its not like orpik will sign 3 years 2 mil, more like 4 if not more with the shallow market |

Neither has Crosby. I don't want him either
As much as everyone rips on Clarkson I believe he tried to motivate and lead by example off the ice and got resistance from the collection of surfer dudes we have. |

"I expect David Clarkson to rebound in a big way next season and score close to Thirty Goals".
"He has the potential to be on the same level as a Rick Nash".
