NHL '14 called. It wants it's trade back.

No way that happens. Especially with a 1A-1B goalie situation we will have next season. Similar stats to Miller? The guy has 21 wins in the last 3 seasons. Nowhere near similar to Miller's stats.

How do you come to the conclusion that we will score more goals next year? We've had Stewart added to our offense while having Vanek, Moulson and Ott off our offense. Hard to see where your getting this prediction from.

- Jammerz04

We had a historically bad start.

IMO we will be what Calgary was this season, next season

Of course, but Brown has 8 goals.

He's been pretty damn good for a guy who was frequently criticized this year

- sbroads24

8 goals? He just scored his 6th... Hes been better than he was for the majority of the season, but just because he scored a fluky OT goal in game 2 doesnt make him this outstanding clutch 2 time cup champion captain america player that some posters are touting him as... in other words, the Kings would be doing just fine without him.

Not sure what your watching either?? Brown scored OT goal in game 2, playing a great 2 way game. Scored tonight, just saying
- Irish 14

I know thats what youre saying. And I'm laughing at what you actually pay attention to. He hasnt even been one of the Kings best forwards the entire playoffs.... Kopitar, Carter, Williams, Toffoli, Pearson, all these guys are outplaying him.

No way we will be as good as that. We still had a bad overall season. It wasn't just the start that killed us. Our offense got worse under Nolan IMO. All those 2-1 losses were a nightmare.

My bad, thought he had 8.

My point is that he is without a doubt a gamer. Like I said, I'm not too interested in adding him nor do I think he's a building block.

He's exactly what I want Girgensons to be

Our historically bad start coincided with a tough schedule. What didnt coincide with a tough schedule? Our historically bad finish, which will be much of the same roster we field next year.

We'll be a top 3 pick again next year. I wish I could hibernate all winter.

I really wish I could for sure say top 2, but IMO it's just too uncertain.

90% of the preseason predictions I read had Calgary as the leagues worst team.

Lol ya that makes a tonne of sense. Get back to your xbox...

Why in God's name would the Sharks trade their number one player? They want to rid themselves of the past not the future. Lol try again though.

He's also almost 30 signed for another 7 years.

Guys like him break down from how physical they play. That's the main reason I don't want Cally as a FA

- sbroads24

Brown is good , no one disputes that . He is a good complimentary player . That being said Callahan is no Brown as shown by his playoff performance . Look what the team he left has done . Just because a player grew up 60 miles from here does not make him a great addition to this team . Especially at the term he is looking for , the money he is looking for and most important . The timing is just not right to bring in such a player. Tim has a plan from what he said and it does not include signing players to long term right now.

Sabres GM Tim Murray says GMs have agreed to change draft lottery but not as early next year. So he's obviously pleased with that.

Ya, I don't pay Xbox, but my kids might.

I didn't know the trades had to make sense, judging by your 86-player deal you had.

I'm really at 99% of the belief we will be the worst team again. It'd be 100% if we were a Western Conference team.

Murray isnt in a hurry to improve this team with the draft that has 2 generational talents in it, and several franchise players. We'll be drafting 1 or 2 next year, but adding in safety factor, I'm sticking to top 3 guaranteed.

Which is why Murray needs to do much of his work this summer. No guarantees

It's hard to predict variables, such as this Sabres team quitting on Ron-Ron after one week.

The only work he needs to do is draft well, and convince some role playing FA's to join the team short term and maybe ride coat tails as we hit contention... thats it. What else do you want him to do?

And there are definitely guarantees in fielding a talentless roster that has 3rd liners playing on the first line.

Recap: no agreement to change draft lottery. Status quo for now but conversation continues. Tim Murray confident it means no change for 2015

Lol looks like you haven't learned to count so let's count together

Ladd is 1, Kane is 2, Foligno is 3, Stewart is 4, Hodgson/Ennis is 5 and the pick is a pick. So you get 86 players from that? Hmmm something tells me that you didn't do all that well in school?

If TM is looking to take on salary to aquire an additional 1st rd pick, how about making a play for Danny Briere (1 yr @ $4 mill)?

Stafford & the very 1st pick of rd.2, for Briere and MTL's 1st rd pick..

Obviously, Buffalo would have to pay as much of Stafford's salary as legally permitted. He could easliy be shopped at the deadline by the Habs for a draft pick. Perhaps Drew steps his game up in thus contract yr?
