Insult is an insult guy. No matter if it's on the internet or face to face. So stay out of it and mind your business. You have no business in the middle of our friendly jab session. Thanks. - Jammerz04
You took the friendly out of it. . Quit being an internet tough guy and relax. Life is too short.

That was some great hockey . Can't wait to have some here like that. - Maximum Signal
I'm thinking 3-5 seasons we will be back on top in the NHL.
On the subject of rebuilds is Detroit the only team who never has to rebuild? Seems like we should maybe snatch a scout or two off of them. They always seem to find the gems after the 1st round. |

They used to scout Europe better than everyone else . But I think the rest of the League has caught on to it . For some reason Detroit attracts good free agents . It sure ain't for the city. |

Yes a mid to late 1st or a good prospect with a couple years of development already in . If he is performing well , some GM will think he is the missing link. - Maximum Signal
Im not convinced. After seeing Moulson go for 2 second rd picks, that almost seems like best case scenario for Stafford.
Aschwach makes a great point about all of this being relative to the potency of next yrs sraft as well... Drew would really have to take his game to another level to get sombody to forfit a 1st rd pick in such a highly coveted draft, for his rental contribitions.
That being said, 2 second rd picks (in exchange for Stafford) would pose nice value. |

Moulson went for 2 2nds because the market on scoring wingers was flooded at the deadline. Gaborik, Vanek, Moulson, St. Louis, Hemsky, Stempniak, Cammy and Callahan were all available |

Moulson had a much bigger body of work than Stafford ever will. If he has a good year, will somebody trade for him at the deadline? Sure. Will the Sabres get a return worth writing home about? Highly doubtful. A good half season on the worst team in the league where the stakes aren't even six inches off the ground does not boost your trade value, especially at age 28 like Stafford is. |

Ehrhoff would be a perfect fit for Det, IMO...
If Murray is looking for another 1st, maybe a pick & a prospect for Ehrhoff is dusscussed?
Now im in no hurry to show our top blueliner the door, but if the prospect is elite... Maybe such a deal could make sense for Buffalo (as well as the "win now" Wings)? |

Is Stafford's uncle still a trainer in Edmenton? That's a club who could use some leadership.
**Stafford & Pysyk to Edm, for Nail Yukapov**
Yukapov & Grigorenko could become a very intriging reclimation project!
And you'd still have Ehrhoff, Myers, Risto, Zadorov, McCabe,& Webber to round out the back end. |

too many Russians for my taste, do not want to give up on Grigo yet... but i don't really want Yakupov....
Edmonton for Stafford is interesting...staff for Gagner? perhaps thats a dream....but realistically if Florida or some one else takes Reinhart or Bennett #1 ...and Ekbald is there @2 talk deal w the Oilers who badly need Defense and get Nugent-Hopkins perhaps
maybe another piece would be needed to get them to jump....but rumor has it they badly covet Ekblad so it seems realistic. |

No Yakapov please . Right up there with Kane for biggest pain in the butt in Canada. Yakapov would probably be bad for Grigorenko . Need positive role models for him . Not another head strong player that does not believe in team concept.
You guys really under estimate Stafford in contract years . He will come to play and get us a good return at trade deadline . He turned his career back in the right direction under Nolan. He will be motivated. |

You are dead wrong on this one . If he performs like he does in contract years . Some GM will see him as the piece they need at the deadline . He has done it before . Murray has already talked to him and they agreed on what he is playing for. |

No thanks. Pysyk is going to be a great shutdown type defenseman. I'd rather throw McCabe into that trade. But what about Grigorenko, Stafford and Ehrhoff for the 3rd overall +? |

i would like to Keep McCabe too he has a bright future...and they just dealt McNabb we need some bodies in the system.....
Ehrhoff has a limited No movement clause and does not want to play out west...my guess is he wouldn't accept a deal to the Oilers.... |

I was reading on tsn that Vinny le clavier is a candidate to be bought out. Is there a rule about a player being bought out twice? |

Problem is Erhoff has a NTC and won't go west. Still think it is too early to give up on Grigorenko . Actually excited about him and Armia together in Rochester. |

No matter what Edm will want Pysyk from Buffalo. More so than even Myers or Ehrhoff. He was the captain of the Edmenton Oil Kings!!
They know in Edm better than anywhere, just who Mark Pysyk is!!
Pysyk is young & hungry, but hasn't yet been corrupted with the big contract. There's still a ton of meat on the bone there for young rebuilds like Edm & Buf. |

He can be bought out but is ineligible for a compliance buyout as his deal was signed post lockout. |
