U guys were a bottom team with vanek last year but yeah don't be suprised if he comes back and pulls u guys into the playoffs! When even a 38 year old has been doesn't want to waste his time u might wanna start thinking about what u really gave up in a previous trade. No but ur right bcz the isles made the playoffs in a shortened season and faced probably the worst Pens goaltending in the last decade. The worst part is NYI was putting together a few good drafts and really starting to make some noise. Can't believe fans aren't calling for snows head. Shame on you

On one hand you have the person who 'trespasses' to leave their comments, purposely trying to incite the folks of that particular board.
On the other, you have the folks who are understandably irritated by said person arriving and making these comments when it seems pretty obvious what their angle/intent is.

We've had refs come here before and tell those type of 'participants' to beat it, thus defusing the situation. I'm not going to backread on what brought us to this point, but it seems the most consistent response from the ref's is to ask the visitor to just return to his side of the fence as opposed to becoming part of the fun.

I don't post here anymore because these Islanders threads have become the OK Corral where all opposing fans take a steaming poop and no mod ever does anything about it. Ever.

God forbid one of us decides to stick up for himself, we still get the steaming pile of poop.

Yes, there are people who love to go to other threads and try to elicit their desired response - but the leap to name calling and insults is not a normal reaction. Best medicine to combat trolls is to not feed them, imo.

Didn't realize sticking up for yourself is equivalent to insulting an entire fanbase, city, etc.

If you think your team's board is alone in those types of posters coming to get a rise out of you, you're incorrect.

Serious question: When will a mod ever do their "job" in one of these threads.

I don't know how many of you think I'm a good poster, but I don't post here anymore because the trolls run (frank)ing rampant around here and talking hockey always, ALWAYS, gets derailed at some point in almost every thread. It's not fun to me anymore, and I'm too old to get into a stupid argument with a faceless person on the internet.

People come into Dan's threads with pointless, insulting, trolling comments and they continue to post willy nilly with nary a warning. Why do I know this? Because they keep doing it over...and over...and over.

Agreed...also not to partake in what appears to be potentially explosive conversations. If you walk on to someone's property and punch them in the nose, that tends to be looked at less favorably than if they walked on to your property and you did the same.

Nearly every day here we get at least on Buffalo fan coming in trying to spark something. It's old. The saturation point is causing the marsh to stink.
