I'm more of a lone wolf, the law livin outside the law - going from blog to blog, lookin for folks what might be in the need of some justice. I try n give em what I can.
Seriously, I just go through this site as I normally would - I just have the capability of nipping things in the bud, however. - nfph
Hmmmm...like the sound of that.

I don't get the "too proud to report a post" types...is the effort too much to click the button? Do you get offended and feel like a snitch??
If you think something is offensive, report it and the mods will have the chance to see what's going on and remove posts/people if that's the case. Without your own dedicated ref, it's the easiest way to draw attention to the trolls and have them dealt with, otherwise how are they to be seen?
As for what constitutes a troll (hence my prior post with it in quotes), people have their own take on it. before I was a ref I'd just ignore posts of people I didn't like/considered trolls (Sabres posters in the Sabres thread). Trolls are looking to get a rise out of people - without getting that they lose their sense of worth...whatever worth that is.
I personally don't think that talking about a team/organization and criticizing them is too out of bounds for a hockey discussion forum, but that's me. I roll my eyes a lot at the ridiculousness of it, but it's discussion, and if it's something I want to get involved in I post - if not I don't. - stashu
talk about a personal attack on said trolls... it may be time to turn yourself in. |

So back to hockey!!!
Does Boyle make his decision today?
The assistant GM for Toronto Darren Dreger thinks they are a match made in heaven.
I love how he can just happen to float it out that the Leafs would be interested in signing him.
He delivers the message for them... so no tampering!!! |

Hmmm, let's compare what you mock and call a troll:
Knocking your team and talking about hockey
OR
insults, name calling and mocking a city/fan base
Yeah... - stashu
How about that individual comes over here repeatedly and trolls along with numerous other Sabres fans and posts ridiculously stupid posts to bait people into a fight. Enough of this shat. Now we have a Buffalo ref trolling in here. Gimme a break. |

That's all that would take.
I agree though, we should probably give you your thread back. Of course now it's in like 5 mods' "my threads" list, so... just sayin. |

So I shouldn't post on a board that it's not OK to insult people? Thanks for the advice, but I'll continue to do my "job"
Talk hockey, respond to a person's posts by calling them out with hockey-related arguments - stop with personal attacks. - stashu
You can't win the Stanley cup without dominant players and the only way buffalo is getting them is through the draft. Buffalo already has tons of 1st round d prospects and tons of depth prospects. Just needs a few elite fowards. Obviously most kids take a few seasons to mature into nhl players. Buffalo will get its future/core the next 2seasons. Not like 2 seasons and a light switch goes off and suddenly dookie becomes a Stanley cup calibre team. Buffalo is a awful team but it has a plan. And u will hear from us every time a player scores a goal against Long Island next season so best be prepared!
Yeah. Do your "job". Thanks |

Yes, cuz this:
U guys were a bottom team with vanek last year but yeah don't be suprised if he comes back and pulls u guys into the playoffs! When even a 38 year old has been doesn't want to waste his time u might wanna start thinking about what u really gave up in a previous trade. No but ur right bcz the isles made the playoffs in a shortened season and faced probably the worst Pens goaltending in the last decade. The worst part is NYI was putting together a few good drafts and really starting to make some noise. Can't believe fans aren't calling for snows head. Shame on you
compares with the responses you and others have given.
Ignore him, post an intelligent response, etc, but thinking you're better with insults is obviously better and shows the superior intelligence/hockey knowledge - stashu
listen, you pop in here once and think you know what's been going on for 6 months. That idiot joshs has been continually trolling in here without so much as a warning. Take your holier than thou attitude back to the sabres thread. We've got no patience left for that tool and even less for a ref defending him.
take a hike.

Now I seriously recommend we drop the topic altogether. - nfph
what is it with all the sabres fans and sabres refs coming in here and stirring crap up? Just beat it, we don't want or need you, or any of your trolling fanbase.
